Service has been restored on septas paolithorndale line, from the evening rush last night into the overnight hours that service had been suspended because of signal problems. Its back up and running within the hour. Unfortunately there are some residual delays, which is very typical when service gets restored so late in the game. Your alternate is the norristown high speed line. If youre headed into Center City Philadelphia, take that to 69th street, exit there and get on the marketfrankford line and that will drop you off at any one of philadelphias main center city hubs right there. Taking a look at the roads right now. I feel like weve neglected the roads. Northwest natalie nothing big has been happening in our coverage area. Things are picking up on 95 southbound at girard avenue. Average speeds in the 60s as you make your way southbound between woodhaven and the vine. For drivers in montgomery county, along 422, if youre headed eastbound to the schuylkill expressway, from route 29, that drive will take you about eight minutes. 422 has been iffy the last few days, a lot of volume there. Lastly for our drivers in delaware on 95, if youre going between 95 and 295, everything is looking really good right there. tf o ill toss to my colleague Monique Braxton who is along the paolithorndale line in bryn mawr. I was just talking to our photographer, showing you whats going on here at the bryn mawr station. A few passengers have arrived. Weve counted about half a dozen. The station here itself has just opened. This is not a station where tickets are sold. Everyone appears to far to be in a good mood, unlike the hundreds of passengers who were frustrated and stranded yesterday by the amtrak problems. Weve also noticed a few cabbies have pulled up, just in case folks dont want to wait out the delay with the highspeed line as well as the regional Train Service. We did talk to a passenger last night who expressed his frustration without any hesitation. Ive never had it such that the lines physically stopped working and they were not able to provide an alternate mode of transportation or at least an alternate viable one. Reporter as a new day dawns here on septa service in the suburbs, Train Service has been restored on the paolithorndale line and passengers know they face delays but so far everyone appears to be in a good mood. Septa tells us theyre going to reevaluate how they handled the track problems yesterday, the signaling problems. And hopefully it will be better the next go around. Nbc 10s matt delucia is following the investigation live from frankford. Tell us what happened. Reporter vai and rosemary, were here at the bus depot at frankford and pratt streets. This is where they brought the septa bus. You can see it right there behind me as i get out of the way here. More buses are trying to move around. We got closer video of the bus a few moments ago. You can see some of the damage of smashed cglass. Police told me this happened a little before 2 00 this morning. A septa driver said a man was driving close to his bus. When the bus stopped, the man got out of his car, started yelling at a woman who was inside and punched the outer glass, cracking it. The bus driver was able to get a few more blocks but was cut off by that same man. The bus wasnt able to go anywhere. Thats when the woman tries to get off the bus, the man grabbed the woman, punched her and got her in his car. The detectives did get something. Well have to see what type of print they got from the broken window. He clearly broke the window using his hand. Reporter police are trying to look at all sorts of evidence here, especially video surveillance. They were just on that bus. Investigators were on that septa bus, youll see there, live, just moments ago, trying to pull video surveillance. This happened on the 4200 block of roosevelt boulevard. That car had delaware tags. Please ran tag and came up with no records. Police dont know if the woman is in danger. They want to find her. Shes described as a woman in her 20s, 57, straight dark hair, wearing dark clothing. There are quite a few questions at this point. Let me step out of the way. That is the septa bus in question here. That is where all this unfolded earlier this morning. Take a look at video from earlier when we got a closer look at the damage caused to this bus. This happened a little before 2 00 and septa drivers said a man was driving close to thinks bus. When the bus stopped, the man got out of his car, started yelling at a woman on that bus and punched the outer glass, cracking it. The bus driver was able to go a few more blocks and then was cut off by that man. Couldnt go anywhere. Thats when the woman tried to get off the bus, the man physically gets on there, grabs her, punches her and forces her into his car. There were several cameras on the bus. At this point, the bus returned to the depot at frankford and pratt. And septa officials are going to get a copy of the recordings. And investigators are looking at that sliddio right now. They just pulled it off the Surveillance Video there. You can see the damage to this bus, the giant crack in the window, police are looking for a dark gray or silver Pontiac Grand Prix or grand am last seen going south on roosevelt boulevard. The person was fond inside this house on hill crest lane in slatington. Authorities have not released the cause of death yet. Hundreds of people, including many first responders, gathered in Burlington County last night to honor the life of new jersey state trooper sean cullen. The candle lit vigil was held at the Fallen Officers Memorial in hampton. He was killed monday as he was responding to a car fire on interstate 295. A passing driver struck him as he was standing in the highway. Last night, his family remembered him as a brave and ambitious young man. The Philadelphia Police officer who survived an ambush back in january came facetoface yesterday with the man accused of shooting him. Officer Jesse Hartnett told the court how his left arm was shattered by gunfire as archer allegedly shot repeatedly into his police cruiser. Hartnett also testified he later returned fire, hitting archer. After a hearing, the judge ordered archer to be held on trial for attempted murder and other charges. And a punch thrown at donald trump rally at North Carolina on wednesday has now led to an arrest. Thats right, vai. It happened when authorities were escorting a protester out of the building. Now theres word his new lawyers will ask the judge to throw out the case. Prosecutors accuse fattah of accepting bribes and misusing come pain funds and charitable grants to help his family and friends. Fattah denies the charges. Hes scheduled to go on trial in may. A new scholarship is being created to honor a fallen Pennsylvania State trooper. The scholarship is being named after trooper david kedra at his alma cmater. Roman kathy high school will officially announce the Scholarship Fund during a ceremony this morning. He was killed in 2014 during a Firearms Training class in conshohocken. During the class, the instructors weapon went off and hit kedra. The instructor, Richard Schroeter was sentenced to two weeks in county jail and four years of probation and house arrest.
