A number of emergency vehicles are out there. We launched skyforce 10 because were hearing at least two cars are involved. There are injuries. It looks like it will be out there for quite a while, moving into the bigtime morning rush. Fire trucks on scene. All traffic is being pushed to the extreme lefthand lane, very slowly getting by that. 53 minutes its taking you. This drive time is normally 14 minutes. Around this time its normally 18 minutes. Thats a heck of a jump. Eastbound as you make your way between the blue route and the vine, youre nearly an hour. You can take mlk or kelly drive around this accident scene. The westbound drive time isnt too bad. It doesnt seem to be much of a gaper delay. Only about an 11minute drive. Average speeds are pretty good. Nearly two dozen of them after winning the puerto rico primary. Voters on island gave the florida senator an overwhelming victory yesterday. This is rubios second win of the Campaign Following a victory last week in minnesota. Donald trump still leads the republican nomination battle with 392 delegates. Take a look at that. Ted cruz now within 100 delegates of the frontrunner. Marco rubio and john kasich, they trail the field. Today police are on the hunt for a gunman wanted for shooting a teenage fast food worker in philadelphia. The customer was having dinner at the churchs chicken restaurant on north broad street when police say he got angry, pulled out a gun and shot a 19yearold employee at least three times. Medics rushed the victim to the hospital where he is in stable condition. The shooter ran away. Crime scene investigators found bull hes and shell casings scattered across the restaurant. Thats senseless. A senseless crime. Getting shot over some chicken . Come on. Police tell us it is possible the customer got angry when employees were cleaning tables near his food. A significant backup from city ave and even west of city ave considering this crash. Drive times are creeping up to an hour. It will take you to go between the exit for 47 6, the blue route and the vine street expressway. Take an alt earn gnat, which i can suggest is kelly drive or mlk drive, even lancaster avenue locally if you need to head from the main line into Center City Philadelphia. 76 eastbound is really backed up. This is a view of the crash scene. You saw a number of emergency vehicles there, pushing all of the traffic into the lefthand lane. And what you just saw was residual backup around steve ave. It will take you more than an hour to make sure way from the blue route into Center City Philadelphia because of this crash. Theres a crash between girard avenue and right after montgomery. Three of the four lanes there have been blocked. Two women were taken to the hospital. One of them ejected. Happening today, dozens of delaware airmen are coming home. Some 60 members of the Delaware Air National guard are returning to the new castle base on two different flights. Theyve spent the last four months in the middle east as part of operation freedom sentinel. There will be more airmen returning tomorrow and also wednesday. And a pay raise is coming for Pennsylvania State workers and contractors. Governor tom wolf is expected to sign an executive order that raises the minimum wage to 10. 15 an hour. Now, thats only for employees under wolfs jurisdiction. And employees of state contractors. c a democratic governor has asked our Republican Controlled Legislature to raise minimum wage to 10 an hour. They disagreed. Minimum wage 7. 25 an hour, th lowest in the region. The project would extend the norristown speed line, adding five stops, including one inside the king of prussia mall. Now that the sun is coming up, you can see a better shot of the scene. It happened right after montgomery drive before girard avenue on 76 eastbound. Number of emergency crews out there, at least two cars involved. Two women transported to the hospital. We know at least one ejection. Sounds like its serious. A crash which was right in this area taking out the shoulder, the right lane, the center lane has cleared in last little bit. It was quite a response and it was quite a backup extending from the scene westbound all the way to city avenue. As you can see from that scene as we widen out from this shot, the traffic is moving, at least at a much better clip. If we go back to my computer, i can show you that the drive times are not reflecting great news. Inutes. Normally that takes you 18, 19 mountains at that hour. New this morning, north korea is threatening a Nuclear Strike on washington and seoul over annual military drills. South korean and u. S. Troops began largescale military drills today in an annual test of their defenses againstc nor korea. The north called the drills nuclear war moves. The staterun television announced an allout offensive to join the drills. North korea routinely issues threats of military action in response to these annual exercises, but tensions are higher than normal. After recent missile tests by north korea. Happening today, water safety is expected to take center stage at a Town Council Meeting in moorestown, burlington county. Residents were angry thr were not told for a year about bacteria found in their Drinking Water last february. They didnt get a letter notifying them about the bacteria until last week. The township is expected to provide more answers tonight. And new this morning, a collision sends a parked car into the front porch of a house along south 28th street in grays ferry. The Fire Department official on scene tells nbc 10 that another vehicle hit the car and then drove off. Another car, parked car was also hit in this crash. The crash seriously damaged the porch but no one was hurt. Authorities have accused a coatesville man of arranging an Armed Robbery that led to the death of a Lincoln University student. Police have arrested Evander Wilson after they say he drove two students after campus late saturday night there three masked men robbed them. One of the masked men shot Christopher Robinson in the neck. He died at the hospital. Wilson faces homicide, robbery and other charges. We were so focused on the schuylkill expressway eastbound between montgomery and jfrd because there wof a serious acc. 95, a lot of volume headed southbound. This is around girard avenue as you make your way into Center City Philadelphia. Well take a look at your drive times for 95 swell the trouble spot on 76. This drive time as over an hour. We are making serious improvements there. It will take you about 43, 45 minutes to go between the blue route and the vine if youre headed into Center City Philadelphia. 95 southbound headed in that direction. Its only going to take you only, comparatively speaking. 29 minutes, which is slow, average speeds in the 20s right now. The blue route always looking really good, even at this hour when its so busy. Fortunately, a fuel spill on 95 northbound, near kerlin street has cleared. Thanks for that update. A teen is in the hospital after he wasc shot last night inside the restaurant where he was working. People were making sandwiches to put into the blessing bags for the homeless. They packed the bags with other food and personal items. People will give the bag directly to the homeless in upper darby and philadelphia. This is the brain child of middle School Student mallyanne brophy. Its hard to see people on the street like that but it h p helps them when we give them the bags. Its completely different, when you give it to the person in need. You see where it is going. You see the end point. Her brother also helps out. Anyone really can help. In fact, people of all ages came out yesterday to pack the blessing bags. Pretty neat. Go for them. This morning were learning which towns are tops when it comes to snow totals. Take a look. Syracuse, new york, remains the snowiest city in america. This is all according to golden snow global. Com. c more than 72 inches fell in syracuse this year. That is well below the 120 inches that usually falls on syracuse. But still enough for that top spot. Erie, pennsylvania, coming in second place with more than 67 inches of snow. But tops overall is a small town of perrysburg, 30 miles south of buffalo. Over 138 inches fell there. Here in our area, allentown recorded more than 20 inches during the blizzard. It was airfarely mild winter for philly besides the blizzard in late january. I like that youre saying its over. This is the vine street expressway, especially if you head east into new jersey or if youre headed on 95 north or south from the vine, average speed is in the 30s right now. Pretty slow going. But at least we have no accidents on the vine. We did have a major crash on 76 eastbound right in this spot, right after montgomery drive before girard avenue. Typically a really busy stretch of road this time. And this drive time, it was over an hour not long ago. Its down to a half hour between the blue route and the vine street expressway, which is still a little high for this time of morning but not considering we just cleared an accident scene.
