Matt, this is the second incident involving a cap in just the last week. That right. On saturday a cab driver was shot while he was trying to take somebody to a location, and this was during an attempted robbery. Now you have this incident, but at this point, there does not appear to be any connection according to police. Take a look at this video here. This is the driver from this robbery overnight. He escaped with only a couple of stab wounds to the hand. Heres what happened. A cab driver picked him up. That is when the passenger tells the drierner that he has a gun and demands his money. Then the knife came out and there was a struggle. Really careful with people getting in the cab, always the hand or the bag or the pocket. But i could not see anything in his hand when he get in the cab. And we look for any of those private camera recordings as well as city camera recordings to see if we can find anything that can help us with this robbery, aggravated assault investigation.
