Those drive times, i promise on the pennsylvania majors. 95 southbound between woodhaven and the vine, things are running smoothly at 60 miles an hour. Thats your average speed. 13 minutes to go southbound between woodhaven and the vine, 76 eastbound and 476 southbound between the schuylkill and 95. Everything is running smoothly there. And hazardous Road Conditions have been reported at East Germantown pike as well as east adair road. A heads up to Montgomery County drivers. 6 03 and, uft this morning, nbc news declared Hillary Clinton the winner of the Democratic Caucuses in iowa. Theres still one precinct not yet reporting but nbc news is basing its declaration on a report from the Iowa Democratic party, the Democratic Party is calling it an historically close Iowa Democratic caucus. You can see the numbers still show a virtual tie. On the republican side, cruz pulled ahead of the pack with 28 of the vote followed by donald trump, marco rubio and ben carson. Nbc 10s drew smith spoke to a political analyst this morning about what comes next for the candidates. Drew . Good morning, tracy. You should know iowa does not have the best track record for picking president ial candidates, at least recently. While they did choose barack obama as the nmny in 2008, the lost gop candidate to win iowa and go on to win the nomination was 16 years ago. But this is the first time this set of candidates faced the voters and its a different set. The winning candidates can use victories or strong performances in the hawk eye state to build campaign momentum. Professor shawna shames said this is not representative of the whole country. Theres a lack of minority voters and you had toc show upn person if you wanted to vote. This means very little. Its kind of like we had a family meaning and only the eldest sibling has spoken up about what they think. Thats okay with me. Im an eldest sibling. I like to have the first word but that doesnt mean i know what the whole family issing this yet. Im told New Hampshire is coming up so soon and the campaigns have spent almost a year on the ground in New Hampshire already, thats not likely. Im drew smith, nbc 10 news. This morning, there are fewer candidates. Democrat Martin Omalley and republican Mike Huckabee both suspended their campaigns last night. This was huckabees second failed bid for the white house. All eyes will be on what happens inside the courtroom here later on this morning. Really all comes down to a supposed agreement between then d. A. Bruce castor and bill cosby. His legal team says back in 2005 castor promised not to prosecute in exchange for a deposition. In that deposition, cosby admitted to drugging a woman before engaging in sexual contact with her. The District Attorney know, kevin steele filed charges in december. The issue is whether or not that alleged agreement holds up. As far as anyone knows it is not in writing. Bruce castor isc expected to te the stand to testify about this agreement. This is castor when we spoke to him last year. At the time i remember thinking he probably did do something inappropriate but thinking that and being able to prove it are two different things. The deposition cosby gave 11 years ago was used for a civil case. If the judge agrees there was a valid agreement, then this criminal case could be dismissed. Its all up to the judge. Thats been going up by a few minutes as ive been watching it. Things are slowing, 76 eastbound into the city. We talked about 74 eastbound. 95 southbound, things are slowing unfortunately between woodhaven and the vine. That will take you 25 minutes. The blue route is looking good in both directions between 76 and 95. A quick check of your area bridges. I can tell you everything is pretty clear. An unexpected republican winner. Ted cruz sailed to a victory earning the most votes any republican candidate has ever received in an iowa gop caucus. For the democrats, it was not until early this morning before we had our winner. Nbc 10s lauren mayk has been in iowa all weekend. What an exciting finish. Vai, they pretty much assure this race has quite a ways to go. No one won by more than four points here. On the democratic side, the chair of the Democratic Party here in iowa saing overnight this was the closest Democratic Caucus in iowa history. I can actually show you how close this was. Take a look at that big map behind me. The red and orange one. The red is Hillary Clinton, the orange is Bernie Sanders. Both had a strong showing there. Both getc delegates but Hillar Clinton gets the bragging rights. Were doing well in New Hampshire and after that were off to do battle in South Carolina where i think were going to surprise a whole lot of people just as we did in iowa. Reporter i visited one of the caucus sites last night, turnout there was huge. In fact, there was not enough room in there for everyone. Hes bringing up the conversations i want to hear, just about change, about making america better. Who are you choosing tonight . Hillary. And why . I think shes the most viable candidate. I like her Foreign Policy experience. I think she has the most experience of any of the candida candidates and really super, i think, for our country. Both candidates had their supporters there last night and on the republican side, ted cruz was the big winner, beating donald trump who has been going after him ten who skipped that last debate here in iowa. Heres what happens. The Des Moines Register reports in ames, iowa, supporters of clinton and Bernie Sanders disputed results after 60 caucus participants parentally disappeared from the paroledings. As a result of a coin toss, clinton was awarded an additional delegate. She took five of the precincts eight. Similar decisions were made at a handful of precincts is cross the state. March 1st is the dead lane for applications for the Childrens Scholarship Fund philadelphia. It helps children in need attend quality tuition based cschools. This year, 5,500 students are receiving the scholarship money at 160 area private schools. And the application process pretty simple. It literally takes three minutes to complete. We dont charge a fee. Once they do that, the family is entered into the lottery and well be conducting the lottery shortly after march 1st. The state will become the first in the country to supply the heroin antidote narcan free to all public high schools. Each school will get one carton of narcan nasal spray.
