A policy retreat. The goal will be to lay out what they want to achieve and how they will go about doing it. Were also going to be talking about this issue. National security one of them, also the Affordable Care act. The gop has said that they want to repeal and replace it. We did ask some of the lawmaker what is they want to hear. If we can get some clear direction on what his priorities will be and how we would like to see them carried out. We dont want do go forward with repealing until we have everything in place. We dont want people to be left behind. And there shouldnt be a rush to do it just to say we did it. Police and city leaders are expecting tens of thousands of people to descend on the area, city hall, that are planned throughout the day that could affect things if you live or work in center city. We saw the biggest protest of this threeday republican retreat, remember, the Lgbtq Community rallied outside of the loews hotel. Were told more protests begin at 9 00 this morning, 3 00 p. M. , 10 00. Thats when they received permits from the city. One is calling for a blackout to encourage philadelphians to symbolize those without health care it if the Affordable Care act is repealed. New this morning, were learning more about the case of 14yearold grace packer, the girl allegedly raped and killed by her adoptive mother and stepfather. Grace was abused by her adopted mom sarah packer for years. Sarah and her stepfather. Sarah packer and her boyfriend Jacob Sullivan are in jail now. Grace went missing in july. In october, hunters found her bodys remains. In Critical Condition after Police Say Two pit bulls mulled her in germantown. Neighbors say they could hear the woman screaming for help. She had bite wounds on her neck, face, arms. A neighbor saw the aftermath. They put her in the ambulance. Authorities did remove the two pit bulls. Philadelphia will soon crack down on predatory towing. The measure also gives police for parking authorities the power to write tickets throughout the city. Low 40s, Kennett Square, collegeville near 40 degrees. Collegeville just dropped down to 39 degrees. Its 49 in newtown. Not cold by january standards but a bit damp. Were just seeing the first rain showers develop. You see them from Chester County and delaware. And now heading towards the shore, Cape May County into atlantic county, getting very light rainfall.
