New topics were addressed like the tapes that surfaced friday. The candidates also talked about issues that have been festering since the last debate like trumps taxes. Did you avoid the 960 million loss to avoid paying federal income taxes . Of course i do. So do many of her donors. Her donors took massive tax writeoffs. It is sort of amusing to hear somebody who hasnt played federal income taxes in 20 years talking about what hes going to do. Meantime, trump said clinton supported tax laws that allowed him to do it. Trumps own tax plan would not change his ability to avoid playing taxes by declaring Large Business losses, analysts claim. No doubt the race for the white house is dominating headlines this morning on the cover of the New York Daily News this morning, the words grab a seat, loser. Last night there was a Debate Watch Party at mcguillens here in center city. People on both sides watching what was said before the two candidates. A lot of people are talking about this debate. Twitter says it was the most tweeted debate ever. 17 million debate related tweets were sent during that time. We spoke with some of those who were watching, especially the undecided voters. We spoke with people here this morning about their thoughts on the debate. Making a choice between them . Theres no choice. Theres no choice. So still some undecided voters out there. A cnn orc poll, an instant poll done right after the debate found that 57 of debate watchers thought Hillary Clinton won the debate and 34 thought that republican nominee donald trump won that debate. Theres still one more left to go. That will be next week in las vegas. Really under a month now until the election. So not much time for those undecided voters to make their decision. Clinton Hillary Clinton did not directly respond, instead she quoted Michelle Obamas mantra, when they go low, you go high. Bill clinton has denied the allegations and has never been charged with any crimes. New jersey Lieutenant Governor says she will not be voting for donald trump despite Chris Christies close ties with the republican nominee. She will be voting but she cant vote for Hillary Clinton. She did not say who she will select for president. Theres one more president ial debate before election day, the third and final faceoff will be wednesday, october 19th at the university of las vegas nevada. New Jersey Transit says eight of the 17 tracks at thec Hoboken Terminal will reopen this morning. New video shows that much of the damage is still visible. Several entrances are also boarded up. Officials say passengers will be directed straight into the terminal as a lot of work still needs to be done. Concern is trying to alleviate some of what will be, im sure, a level of stress for our customers. This is a different way than theyre used to traveling. Investigators say the new Jersey Transit train was traveling twice the speed limit when it crashed into the station. A woman on the platform was killed and more than 100 people were injured. Mike mcqueary, the former assist and at football coach who reported Jerry Sandusky for child sex abuse is the plaintiff in this case. He says he told head coach joe paterno that he saw sandusky abuse a young boy in the Team Locker Room shower. Mcqueary alleges that he was retaliated against and eventually fired for his reactions. Hes filed a defamation lawsuit against the school. This morning, police are investigating a possible abduction in north philadelphia. A witness told police he saw a man get out of a car on east erie avenue around 9 00 last night and hit a woman in the head with a baseball bat. He then said the man dragged the victim into his car and took off. According to police, the suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and sweat paptz. He ma i have been driving a black chevy cruz. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf will be talking about the efforts to stop the pain killer abuse epidemic. Hell be in pottstown to discuss ways to combat opioid abuse. The governor will be at the Community Health and dental care building. The Organization Provides health care regardless of ability to pay. Today, philadelphias Roxborough High School is getting more than a Million Dollars to turn around its academics. The school will receive the grant from the Philadelphia School partnership. To be clear, there were few compliments to go around at this second faceoff but it did end on this positive note. The impact of Hurricane Matthew on North Carolina is expected to linger for days. Flooded cities are trying to dry out this morning while those downstream are keeping a close eye on rising rivers. North carolina is dealing with record breaking flooding. Dozens of homes are damaged in the town of nags head. The coast guard rescued dozens of people from flooded houses. The storm claimed the lives of at least eight people in the state. And in south carolina, thousands still remain without power. The storm made landfall in the state about 30 miles north of charleston. Evacuation orders were lifted for part of the state. Other residents are being warned to stay away for now. Crews were out clearing streets and working to restore electricity. And Florida Governor rick scott toured the hardest hit areas of his state yesterday. He met with leaders in jacksonville beach. Scott says the states with blessed that the storm stayed offshore. The governor says the worst damage he has seen is beach erosi erosion. Some damaged roads and downed trees. A mystery washed ashore on North Carolinas coast after Hurricane Matthew battered the shoreline. Take a look. This raft discovered on oak island apparently came from cuba. Its ringed with bags of flower. The bags say havana and cuba on them. Styrofoam and a hole cut into the metal frame may have held the sail and there was a makeshift rudder. Its amazing how they put this thinging to and it got over here and you have to wonder where the people actually are that were on it. The town of southport, North Carolina saw part of the pier destroyed in the aftermath of what was Hurricane Matthew. Undefeated no more. After a week off, the eagles come up short in detroit and lose their first game of the season. They came after this fumble from the eagles running back ryan matthews, just 2 30 left in the game.
