Things should pick up significantly in the next hour. Back in july, 120 silver liner 5 trains were placed out of Service Leaving thousands of riders stranded. After ac defect was noticed, septa switched to a weekend schedule and since that time, trains have been leased from new jersey and maryland. The Transit Agency says they will have fewer cars and may be forced to skip stops. The 48yearold engineer, Thomas Gallagher told ntsb investigators the nj transit train was running six minutes late and going 10 Miles Per Hour as it approached the hoboken station. One person was killed and 114 others were hurt when the train smashed into the station thursday morning. The victims of a shooting rampage in West Philadelphia are talking about the attack for the very first time. It was more than two weeks ago, investigators say Nicholas Glenn began firing gunshots, first at a Police Officer and then at people he encountered when he ran away. Washington tells us he was helping a woman out of the maximum level lounge when a bullet hit his leg. Gant was shot in the foot after washington pushed her out of the doorway during the shooting. The lounge held a fundraiser for both of them last night, raises hundreds of dollars. Washington and gant say despite being shot, it could have been much worse. Im glad we met that way. We move along over parts of the delaware bay, smyrna through the bay into new jersey, you see a pocket of heavier rain moving along this morning. Otherwise its the fog that well be focusing on as that moves out. That should hang through the morning hours. Cloudy conditions to start your morning. Looking at the forecast, as we move through, now we switch over to delaware and new jersey. You see we start in the low 60s. We move to about the mid to upper 60s by your lunch hour and midday, the lower 70s today. Because weve got some breaks of sunshine expected which will allow the temperatures to bump up just a bit more. Theres a look at Hurricane Matthew right now. This is a strong category 4 hurricane. This hurricane is projected to start to move directly to the north, meaning jamaica, haiti, cuba, all in the line of fire. So we look at that potential for it to move through and cause serious damage. The big question, though, is once it moves through our area, rather moves to the north, will it affect our area . Coming up in a few minutes, we take a closer look at those various computer models showing where this may move. Models are not all in agreement and its looking like maybe a week or more out. Were following a developing story out of los angeles where four people have been arrested of aa second night of protests against Police Shootings these protests erupted after a peaceful prayer vigil for 18yearold Carnell Snell jr. , shot and killed by police on saturday. A shooting sparked protest in South Los Angeles and even in front of the mayors home. Meantime in charlotte, a show of unity between two Church Congregations who canceled Morning Services to come together. The two congregations, the one mostly white, the other mostly africanamerican met to pray and walk together in the city. They marched around a courthouse seven times, each lap representing a different racial issue. This comes after a difficult time in charlotte after the shooting death of keith lamont scott, an africanamerican man killed by police last month. That shooting sparked several days of sometimes violent protests. In france, with the procession, the church where islamic extremist slit a priests throat is reopened for the First Time Since the attack. The church has been closed to parishioners since july when two 19yearolds killed an 85yearold priest and took several churchgoers hostage.
