New jersey turnpike headed southbound theres a crash actually a track tory trailer hit an overpass right around mount laurel road. Thats causing a closure on the southbound side in between exit 4 and exit 5. Now, huge backup for traffic stuck in the Center Section of that closure as well. You want to avoid a new jersey turnpike for sure right now. If youre on it, getting off at exit five is a possibility. Thats mount holly road. Get off on that exit. Get back to 295. Or taking 295 the entire way down. Thats a great idea for an alternate there. We are seeing major delays. With the tractor trailer that was involved. Injuries. Accident investigation underway. Although of debris on the road. Cleanup, accident investigation there. Watching the closure. 295 is your alternate. Updates for you on the rest of the morning. Right now i want to give you a look at traffic and backup taking place as a result of that accident. You can see a fire truck here as well as state police. See the backup that extends all the way down. I would say at least a mile from where we are. All of this happening because of an accident involving a tractor trailer. Driver of the trailer had to be meta vaked and two people taken to the hospital from the truck. Took a peek at the other side of the overpass. Crews removing debris from the road. Trailer has not been towed. Its going to be a while before theyre able to get this stretch of road back open. We of course are going to be here. Continue to monitor the situation. There was traffic that was actually driving before that closure that actually was stuck into that center area in between exit four and exit five. Thats what were looking at right here on the southbound side. Thats the traffic that was stuck in the center of that before the closure occurred. To avoid being stuck in that, eventually were hoping they allow cars to trickle through and get by part of the scene. Either way big delay. Backed up all the way to Burlington Mount Holly. Get off around that, get back on 295 that way. Or youre alternate for the entire thing is to take 295 the whole way down. 295 southbound has no problems reported right now.
