Junior at Saint JosephsUniversity Said two men tried to abduct her last night. What do you know about the investigation. We spoke with that student about what happened. She was understandably too upset to tell us about it on camera. She did talk with detectives last night. We also talked with a friend of hers who got a frantic phone call late last night. At the philadelphia special victims unit where the victim gave her statement. Sawyer is that womans friend. Said he heard part of the struggle when she called him just before 9 00 last night. On that call, he could hear her pleading with someone not to do this. The saint joes student was coming back from the train and walking by a house here on overbrook avenue when she said two guys in ski masks grabbed her and dragged her behind a church. She started to fight and scream. Tried to get away from one guy. The other guy grabbed her. Pulled a gun on her put it to her head and told her if she didnt shut up, he was going to shoot her. He loaded the weapon. That was the friend telling us what happened there. The woman was able to get away when the attackers were perhaps spooked by people coming up the street again. Youre looking here at 58th and overbrook. Thats where this woman says this all happened. The Philadelphia Police special victims unit are investigating. This is right next to saint joes campus. New this morning, Philadelphia Police arrest three men following a Home Invasion in lawncrest. Forced their wane into a home at gunpoint. Stole an ipad and other electronics. We have new details about a man who was shot and killed in philadelphias hunting park neighborhood last nights. Police now say the victim hor shum. Two people robbed the man as he laid dying. Police are trying to track down the gunman and thieves. They hope an id that was left near the body will help them in their search. Happening today, Congressional Republicans will visit philadelphia. The air force wants to test the water for dangerous compounds found in Firefighting Foam and packaging. The same foam is behind the toxic water scare in montgomery and bucks county. Camden county family expects to find out today how much its going to cost to repair home after a massive tree smashed into it. The homeowner says she heard debris raining down on her chimney. Then students start add petition that garnered 1500 signatures asking for the play to be unaltered. Both sides spoke last night.
