Kerri strug became a household name 20 years ago, helping the u. S. Womens Gymnastics Team win gold. Remember this moment, strug performing that vault with an injured ankle. We talked with her while speaking to workers in delaware county. Kerri has two kids and will be watching with her son, who is 4 years old. It will be the first Olympic Games he will see. Long since retired from gymnastics, kerri works with the Justice Department focusing on kids but she often reflects on that moment in the 96 olympics when she hurt her ankle . One vault and went back for a second attempt getting the gold. Now shes watching todays olympians try to achieve greatness. For me i love listening to the national anthem, every time america wins gold. The 16 days of ghlory, enjoy thm and relish them. Investigators say he and another man convinced corrupt doctors to bill insurers for unnecessary and excessive prescriptions in exchange for kick backs. The longtime lawyer for the alleged philly mob boss declined to comment on the allegations. Were able to arrest 46 members of numerous crime families, genovese, gambino as well as others. The charges came one day after the arrest of john gotti jr. The app called food connect gives restaurants, venue halls and Catering Companies an easy way to donate surplus food. The items are then delivered to emergency food providers throughout our area. Paul jordan held firefig firefighters at gun point and fired a shot into the wall at the lamont fire company in cheltenham. He was let go the night before the incident. A sentencing date will be scheduled after jordan goes through several evaluations. New Jersey Police officers are getting some new hightech training. It helps them prepare for potentially life and death situations. The new video simulator allows officers to train in highly realisticlooking situations. These multiscreen simulator is a brand new addition to the Cape May County police academy. It puts splitsecond decisionmaking skills to the test. Policing are changing rapidly. We need to train our Police Officers to do a very difficult job. The academy trains Police Recruits from all across the state. The county spent 250,000 on this equipment. A good chunk of that money 4 been seized from criminals. Now the latest on decision 2016. Hillary clinton is expanding her lead over donald trump in a new nationwide poll. The nbc news wall street journal poll shows clinton with a ninepoint lead. She has the support of 47 of those surveyed to trumps 38 . Thats almost double the fivepoint edge clinton had before the convention. A poll of likely pennsylvania voters by franklin and Marshall College showed an even larger lead for clinton in pennsylvania. Trump campaigned in maine yesterday where he went after his democratic rival. I sort of miss my protesters, you know. It just feet away from where a toddler sleeps. Take a look. The arrow was lodged in this window glass of a secondfloor bedroom on scotia road in andorra. The person who took this photo said the arrow is near where his child takes a nap. We spoke to neighbors about the incident. I dont even know why shun would be shooting a bow and arrow. Theres no hunting. It makes me feel unsafe in a neighborhood thats always been a very quiet neighborhood. Im just grateful no one was hurt, especially children. Investigators say the incident happened on wednesday. Theyre not sure, though, what time. George zimmerman, the man who shot and killed Trayvon Martin says he was punched in the face the a florida restaurant. Zimmerman says it happened over the weekend when he was explaining that he shot martin in selfdefense. Several witnesses claim zimmerman was bragging about the shooting. He was acquitted of Second Degree murder in the 17yearolds death in 2012. Happening today, the man who tried to sssassinate president Ronald Reagan could walk free. John hinckley jr. Is due to be released from a Psychiatric Hospital in washington. Last week, a federal judge ruled he is no longer a danger to himself or others. The courts declared hinckley legally insane after he shot president reagan and three others in 1981. Hinkley spent 35 years in the hospital. When hes released he will be required to live with his mother in virginia. Pless and park officials are warning runners, hikers and bikers. It takes that long to get things going with the parade of nations and things like that. So this will be his first time. He says its a dream come true. Its neat to see the transition for Michael Phelps. This is a guy who was a little abrasive in the beginning, had his issues outside of the pool and has come full circle and is embracing his role as a leader and a captain on this team. Yes. 271 athletes actually have been told as of yesterday they will be able to compete. Thats more than most thought the Antidoping Agency here, really said the team was out of bounds, way outside the rules. And mostly track and field. No track and field members of that team will be part of the olympics here. They say theyre proud theyll be in the opening ceremonies this evening and still say theyve done nothing wrong.
