After two days of deliberations, one wonders what the jury is thinking here. And a retired judge explains as long as they continue to talk and as long as they dont come back and say were deadlocked or were hung, thats a good sign. The trial on federal bribery and corruption charges is set to begin on monday. Williams is accused of taking more than 100,000 in cash and gifts in exchange for favors. Hes pleaded not guilty. Also today the husband of a murdered radio host is due in court for arraignment on a gun charge. Nbc10 got this exclusive video of Police Taking dr. James kauffman into custody yesterday outside his medical office in egg harbor, township. Officers say he pulled a gun while they were serving a search warrant. A hostage investigator got him to surrender. The arrest was due to suspected criminal activity. They didnt elaborate but said it was not related to the unsolved murder of his wife, april kauffman, shot and killed in their home in 2012. A former Delaware County commissioner is scheduled to go on trial for allegedly groping his 103yearold motherinlaw. William spinglers charged with indecent assault. Investigators say he repeatedly groped motherinlaw while visiting her in a nursing home in wayne. Spingler denies the charges saying that he was only showing her affection. New from overnight, two women are in the hospital after they were shot in wilmington. And you see the bullet holes on a car here on reed street. Police are looking for the gunman. Investigators are looking for the gunman who shot a 6yearold boy in wilmington after dropping charges against the initial suspect. Police say they have new evidence that shows their original suspect did not shoot the boy. 6yearo 6yearold drashawn banner was hit while in a car at 6th and spruce. He remains in critical condition. He was arrested last week, but new charges were added yesterday. The child was found unresponsive in a home in southwest philadelphia. Police say salaam beat and raped the boy. An allentown man is going to jail for up to four years after giving 17 shots to his daughter at her 13th birthday party. Charles younger was sentenced after pleading guilty to child endangerment. His daughter ended up in the hospital after passing out at the party in january. Youngers wife was sentenced to 23 months last week. Authorities in bucks county have captured a bear that had been seen on the loose yesterday. A Pennsylvania Game Commission trapped the bear dubbed yogi and released pictures. The city of philadelphia admits it hasnt collected as much money this year from the beverage tax as it had hoped. The taxes brought in more than 25 million through april which fell short of the projected 42. 6 million for this fiscal year which ends at the end of this month. City officials still expect to hit targets for the next fiscal year which begins in july. The tax charged to distributors went into effect in january. It adds an extra 1. 5 cents perounce tax. The sugary it adds tax to the sugary drinks and funds the universal prek program. All Philadelphia Schools will be equipped with lifesaving technology by the end of the month. The Philadelphia School district has admitted its putting aeds in all schools. Theyre portable devices that send an electric shock to treat sudden cardiac arrest.
