Shows flames breaking out around 3 00 this morning just off the white horse pike. It took crews just minutes to bring the fire under control. No one was hurt. Also new from overnight, someone shot a man as he sat in a parked car. Heres a look at the crime scene along york street. Police say a man walked up to the car, fired several shots, hitting the victim in the hip. Bullets hit a parked car and crashed through the window of a nearby home. No one else was hurt. Police plan to look at nearby security footage for clues. The trial begins for a former Delaware County commissioner accused of indecent assault. Thats one of the stories were following in the day ahead. William spingler is charged with attacking his motherinlaw, whos 103 years old, and lives in a nursing home. Prosecutors said employees witnessed spingler groping the woman on three separate occasions, he denied the charge saying that he was only showing her affection. Tonight in newtown, bucks county, a school Rock Committee meeting will decide the future of two elementary schools. Members will consider consolidating the Rolling Hills and wrightstown schools and possibly another. The district is looking at combining schools as a costsaving measure. Happening today in trenton, the new Jersey Assembly will vote on a tax for daily Fantasy Sports. A type of internet gambling. The measure would require operators to pay a quarterly fee equal to 10 of their take. The bill only applies to daily games, not the seasonal Fantasy Sports games. If you drive interstate 495 in imiowa, expect delays in wilmington, expect delays this week thursday through wednesday afternoon. Youll find lane closures heading northbound. Crews are repairing and repaving the bridge over the river between u. S. 9 and east 12th street. Officials closed the span in 2014 after a dirt pile dump near the bridge damaged several support columns. 4 33. 56 degrees. Police are looking into a weekend shooting in north philadelphia that left nine people wounded, two of them critically. The gunfire broke out at 23rd and sergeant streets. The victims told investigators family were hanging out listening to music when two men approached and opened fire. You can see where a spray of bullets pierced a pickup truck and shattered glass. Neighbors drove the wounded to the hospital before police got there. By the time i got in my house, the gunfire started, and by the time i got outside, the police was already on the site. It makes me feel like we really have just evil lurking in our in the midst of us. The victims range from 17 to 26. Police are hoping Surveillance Video can help them track down the shooters. Also in north philadelphia, police are investigating the death of a pregnant woman at the scene of a fire there. Her body was discovered inside this burned out apartment on susquehanna avenue yesterday morning. Fire officials are calling this fire suspicious. No one else was injured. Now to another fire in philadelphia that killed three family members leaving their loved ones and neighbors in shock. The fire swept through the house on diamond street in overbrook yesterday morning. An elderly couple died inside this home. Their grandson died at the hospital after fire crews put out the flames. The victim is in critical condition. New details about a deadly boat crash during a race at the jersey shore. Police tell us david rabb of new jersey was killed in the Point Pleasant grand prix when his boat cut in front of another. And two vessels then collided. We know that the person who died was young and has a lovely wife and children. Very sad. Another person was critically injured. One of the boats sank after the crash and has not been recovered. The mayor said the water was rough, but conditions were pretty good for the event. Philadelphia police are trying to identify a body that was found yesterday afternoon in the delaware river. Officers were called to the linden avenue boat ramp in philadelphias toursdale neighborhood. Not clear if the body is that of a missing teen who vanished while swimming with friends in the area on friday night. Barnum bailey circus took their now final bows under the big top. Once called the greatest show on earth, the final show was held in long island.
