Officers rushed to the scene of a deadly shooting and make a quick arrest. Nbc10s matt delucia explained what they did. Reporter its a question of the officer being in the right place at the right time. The officer was on patrol and heard gunshots and rushed over to see what happened. Just after 10 00 last night at the corner of the german avenue and cable brea street. The 46yearold man was on the ground shot twice, once in the chest and once in the arm. That man later died. The officer saw a man running down cambria. One of the officers started a foot chase eventually catching up and arresting him. The officers were in the right place at the right time. At 10 00 at night, in the middle of august, when the hot out, oftentimes, the officers are busy. With radio assignments its the busiest time of year. Things fell into place for the police and they did a good job. Reporter now you the 23yearold was questioned by homicide detectives overnight.
