Now, before this police shooting, griffin was arrested, as you said, over a dozen times, according to Court Records for things like drugs, weapons and theft. This is Philadelphia Police arresting him yesterday afternoon, after an hours long manhunt in the shooting of officer James Mccollough this weekend. Griffin had been in jail just less than a week ago. But he was let go after a judge cited lack of evidence because several witnesses did not show up to testify. So he was let back on the street and that is when hes accused of shooting officer James Mccollough who interrupted griffin and another man trying to steal a womans car sunday night. That doesnt surprise me that he just sprung and tried to help her. Hes always been that kind of person to step in front and help anybody else around him. Reporter and officer James Mccollough was released from the hospital last night around 7 00. He is at home recovering and he is expected to make a full recovery.
