Nbc 10s katy zachry is live in colwyn this morning. Katy, this was an amazing scene. I understand there was a water issue as crews tried to battle this fire. Lauren, imagine that. 150 firefighters from throughout Delaware County responded to the scene. In the middle of it they were concerned about accessing water from hydrants. Youll hear from the chief in just a moment. First since we last saw you, most of the scene has cleared. Many of the firefighters who responded to this allout inferno last night have left. Some investigators do remain. The cause of this warehouse and car fire in colwyn borough is under investigation. Amazingly, as you look at this video from skyforce 10, there were no injuries to any of the 150 firefighters who responded or any of the People Living close by. This happened at the ellis business plaza, the fire chief tolls me its an auto body repair shop. There are cars inside and out as you can see from the video. 15 cars, were told, caught fire. In the middle of everything, a big problem. We had a water supply issue. This is the south end of colwyn, meaning we only have a couple hydrants close. We had to reevaluate the scene and have the ladder trucks position themselves in a position where they could hit the building from the top. Reporter fortunately, they were able to resolve it and eventually put the fire out. In the next half hour, youll hear from the chief about another issue that came up. This one hazmat related. This morning many people across our region are mourning the loss of trooper sean cullen killed in the line of duty. Trooper cullen was responding to the scene of an accident on i295 in west deptford on monday night when he was hit by a passing car. Paramedics air lifted cullen to cooper medical center. He died from head injuries. Trooper cullen was 31 years old. He was a twoyear member of the force. His former comrades said they are shaken by the loss of their friend. The biggest thing about him, not only was he outgoing and percentable, he truly worked hard and knew what his goals were. Its hard because the guy had a family. Trooper cullen leaves behind his fiance, a baby boy and another child on the way. The driver who hit cullen stopped immediately and cooperated with investigators and no charges have been filed. Many states across the country updated laws over the last few years to protect police and emergency workers at accident scenes. New jersey, delaware and pennsylvania, are among the states that enacted what are now known as moveover laws. Those laws require drivers approaching a crash or emergency on the side of the road to move over and change lanes if it is safe to do so. You have to pass by with flashing lights at a safe speed. 49 states have moveover laws in place. Hawaii is the only exception and there is also no moreover law in washington, d. C. Bill cosbys lawyers have released part of his wifes deposition in the civil defamation lawsuit against the comedian. Camille cosby said she never read the criminal complaint and she and bill talked about the deposition he gave in the 2005 Montgomery County civil case. It involves his accuser, andrea constand. The deposition is set to continue within the next few days. She was instructed not to answer questions about what she and her husband talked about. There are some changes. From 95 northbound, the ramp to cottman avenue is closed until 5 00 this morning. If that extends in any amount of time ill obviously let you know. Around aramingo avenue, 95 northbound at girard avenue, those are closed. There will be small delays in those areas or at least in some of the spots headed north or southbound at that point. Im proud of the campaign that senator sanders and i are running. We have our differences, which you can see, when we debate but ill tell you what, those differences pale in comparison to whats happening on the republican side. Analysts say clinton fell short in michigan after sanders attacked her on trade policy. On to the gop, last night frontrunner donald trump said the record turnout in the republican primaries is the single biggest story in politics. Adding that his latest victories should encourage the gop establishment to unite behind him. I hope that the republicans will embrace it. A 55yearold woman tested positive for the virus after returning from a trip. She visited an area outside the u. S. Where zika has been discovered in infected mosquitos. There are six confirmed cases of the zika virus in pennsylvania, two in new jersey and one in delaware. The head of the cdc is in puerto rico right now. Health officials predict one in five there could become infected because it has the kind of mosquito that carries the virus an now the insects are being resist and the to certain insecticides. There are going to be more cases in puerto rico than in the rest of the u. S. By many, many, many multiples. So this is going to be ground zero for the zika outbreak in the u. S. Health officials will test and retest pregnant women. Now that researchers have learned zika can infect an unborn baby at any stage of pregnancy, not just in the first trimester as previously suspected. Morristown Police Corporal michael pitcher was trying to catch a suspect during a heroin sting. That man threw a package of heroin on top of a train and then ran off. Then things turned dangerous for the corporal. He got sucked into the resister and it burned him pretty good on the back. He could be released from the hospital as early as today. Police arrested the suspect and recovered nearly 90 baggies of heroin. Just last year pitcher was hurt on the job when a car thief backed into him.
