No problems headed westbound if youre going in the opposite direction, montgomery county, another accident scene in hatboro. Route 202, that accident scene has cleared. We did have route 202 closed between 401 and 29 on the northbound side. Again, thats why those drive times are back down to normal. 11 minutes from route 30 to the schuylkill expressway. Speeds in the 50s again. Tracy . The statehouse rejected a bill to abolish the Death Penalty, defeated 2316 after barely clearing the senate last year. It would have abolished Capital Punishment in the state. New jersey abolished the Death Penalty in 2007. In pennsylvania, Governor Tom Wolf issued a moratorium on executions last year. Hes waiting for a report from a task force that he appointed to look into the issue. Those in favor of the Death Penalty are fighting the moratorium in court. Its 4 32 and 24 degrees in allentown and happening today embattled allentown mayor ed pawlowski will give his state of the city address. The speech comes a little more than a week after Allentown City Council voted to call for the may mayors resignation. Pawlowski has not been charged or indicted and denies any wrong doing. He said that fox news had apologized to him and tried to persuade him to attend the debate even up until air time. Lawyers for bill cosby filed a motion asking for a sex assault charge against the comedian to be dismissed or for the prosecutor to be removed from the case. The motion was filed yesterday. The east, new jersey, more likely to be rain showers. And as we go through the weekend, it will be dry and turning warmer, in fact, next week we could see record warmth in the area. S. Senator chris coons family will get their car back after it was stolen from their driveway. An officer in wilmington came upon the stolen Ford Explorer last night. Senator soon wife had left the car warming up outside their home in wilmingtons highland neighborhood yesterday morning. Police warn thats never a good idea. They hope this theft will serve as a cautionary tale. New information about the zika virus, here in the northeast part of the country now, officials confirm the first case in massachusetts. A person in boston contracted zika while traveling abroad and is expected to make a full recovery. There are also three cases in new york, including a pregnant woman. The mosquitotransmitted virus could cause birth defects. Because of this, the ftac is working to stop blood donations from people who have travelled to regions where the virus is prevalent. A chicago Police Officer accused of killing a black teenager heads to court today. Authorities have charged Jason Van Dyke with shooting Laquan Mcdonald 16 times, killing him. It happened in october of 2014. Van dyke pleaded not guilty. Crews have begun demolishing a house that just sold for 2 million before the new homeowner can even move in. Heres why. Inspectors discovered a crack that could cause the San Francisco home to slide into other houses. They say the house moved 14 inches in one week and at least five neighboring homes were in danger. They say the crack was most likely caused by recent powerful storms pounding the bay area. Two sinkholes swallowed part of an oregon highway. Look at this. Hundreds of people honor the Philadelphia Policec hero just three weeks after he was ambushed in west philadelphia. Officer Jesse Hartnett walked into last nights fund raiser in northeast philadelphia. His message to everyone, im thankful. Officer hartnett has undergone several surgeries. You can see metal rods holding his arm in place. Thats where he was shot three times during this attempted assassination earlier this month. About two dozen nypd officers made the trip for the fundraiser. To shake his hand, say, hey, thank you very much for doing your job and understand that were here for you. The nypd officers presented officer hartnett with a plaque on wednesday. The fraternal order of police organized this fundraiser saying hartnett still needs several more surgeries before he can fully heal. Camden county is building a new animal orphanage. Its all part of an effort to find permanent homes for some of its dogs and cats there. Nbc 10 got a look at some of the animals who need a new home. The new orphanage will be in voorhees, new jersey. Organizers will hold fundraisers to help fund the project. Theyve helped place more than 20,000 dogs and cats with forever families. This is a cause near and dear to our heart. By 9 00 well be in the middle 30s, low 40s this afternoon in spite of the clouds, the wind and, yes, a chance of a snow or a rain shower at some point during the day.
