We want to update you on that breaking news were following for you, turkey confirms it shot down a russian warplane along with Syrian Border. Turkish Officials Say the plane violated turkish air space and ignored repeated warnings, russia denies that the plane crossed the Syrian Border into turkish skies but it is investigating. We dont know how many were on board but russian Officials Say the pilots did manage to eject and parachute out of the plane. Their condition is not known. Developing this morning, the state department is warning anyone headed overseas to be on alert because of an increased threat of international terrorism. Philadelphia international airport, they expect 82,000 travelers to pass through here today. And sunday is the busiest air travel day when everyone is leaving. We can see up to 92,000 people coming through the airport on that day. Folks here at the airport say there is another thing that you need to keep in mind this year if you are traveling this holiday season. There is no u. S. Airways so i think a lot of people who only travel on thanksgiving may still think they are looking for a u. S. Airways sign. They have to look for american. A father is outraged after a family emergency at king of prussia mall where his 3yearold son was locked in his car. Kyle butler says its been hard explaining to his 3yearold son what happened in the parking lot friday morning. He says he felt helpless as his son sat restrained in the car seat of a minivan after he accidentally locked it. It took 45 minutes for help to arrive. Was kind of concerning thinking that we had to wait all of that time for a tow company with only him getting more and more confused. He had called mall security but security couldnt help. It was their policy to call a contracted towing company when people lock themselves out of their car. We could not reach king of prussia mall for a comment. Police departments in the valley will deliver thanksgiving dinners to families of fallen officers. Part of a program called cops wheels which started in 2007. Pennsylvania state troopers wills be delivering dinners tomorrow morning to families of fallen officers in northeast philadelphia. From our nbc 10 jersey shore bureau, new jersey state troopers are showing thanks by helping Atlantic City families in need for the 11th consecutive year, members of the Casino Gaming Bureau are giving away turkey dinner care packages. The troopers packed up the boxes with all of the fixings for the families. Because we are troopers we live in the towns we work in so its nice to get out and see the community outside police work. We appreciate giving back to the communities that help us too. The donated meals will go out to 125 families in need. Happening today, a philadelphia tradition that tries to help all families have a happy thanksgiving. Wmzk will host thinks his turkey drop. It helps an organization that provided holiday meals and services to families, shelters and food banks. The group collected more than 9,000 turkeys last year. Weve been telling you its cold out but Montgomery County is preparing for code blue conditions when the temperatures get dangerously cold. County commissioners outline the Code Blue Program yesterday. The Program Helps the most vulnerable stay safe in a winter freeze. Officials said shelters will provide additional beds and housing during code blue events. They also told us how people can help. People should definitely check on neighbors and friends, particularly elderly neighbors. Make sure that their homes are adequately heated. Officials called for a code blue when the weather is considered life threatening, that typically means wind chills of 20 degrees or below. The family of a muslim teenager who was arrested after his homemade clock was mistaken for a bomb is seeking millions in damages. Attorneys for the 14yearold and his family say they are demanding 15 million saying the boy was mistreated. This is back in september when he took the clock to school to show his teacher his clock. The teacher thought it was a bomb and he was arrested, never charged. A city spokesperson says they are still reviewing the demands but they are not commenting. Were getting a look at newly released video from a Police Body Camera that shows the aftermath of a deadly on campus shooting in arizona. The video shows steven jones laying on the ground moments after he opened fire on four students, killing one of them at Northern Arizona university. The video shows jones begging a Police Officer to check on the victims. According to Police Reports jones says he was surround bid about 12 people after leaving a party with a friend, after he was allegedly assaulted and chased down jones ran to his car, told the suspects he had a gun. A new study shows the worst traffic spots in the country for drivers and a few of them are here. The study shows the top 50 worst, 12 of them in los angeles, new york add the second most, thats according to the report from the american highway users alliance. Now lets look at the local roads. The interchange cost drivers 700,000 hours in delays every year equal to 16 million in lost time. The area is a gas guzzler. 260,000 gallons wasted. And the vine street expressway, between 76 and north 24th ranked 47th on the list. The interchange causes 300,000 hours in delays for drivers every year, equal to 6 million in lost time and more than 112,000 wasted gallons of gas. There is new discussion about street belt laws in new jersey following the death of a Nobel Prize Winning scientist john nash and his wife died in a taxicab crash on the new jersey turnpike in may. The couple was not wearing seat belts. Their lives were chronicled in a movie. In 2013 there were nearly 900 deaths from back seat passengers not wearing seat belts. The governors Highway SafetyAssociation Says about half of those people may still be alive today if they buckled up. Stats show back seat passengers are three times more likely to die in a crash if not buckled. People have a false sense of security in the back.
