Jessica boyington, thank you. Overnight flames ripped through a home leaving one person dead and a firefighter injured. And we have heard another person jumped out of a window of the burning home. Matt delucia is joining us from the scene. What are you learning . Reporter the fire is out, but the question is whether or not foul play was involved. This is the scene in the 1800 block of east clementine street in east kensington. Some of the firefighters and police are still working here at the scene at the moment, but the fire started at 10 40 last night with heavy flames initially on the first floor of this home. Firefighters found a man dead on the second floor. Now before they got here, another man jumped out of a secondfloor window. He is at temple hospital right now in stable condition. A firefighter was also treated for heatrelated issues but is expected to be okay. The cause of the fire is still unknown, but the philly Police Crime Scene unit is here along with homicide investigators. So at this point, it is not declared a homicide. Thats still to be determined here. But again, the fire here is out. One person dead, another injured and a firefighter also injured as well. Live in kensington, matt delucia, nbc 10 news. Thank you, 4 02 and police in Camden County are warning families about a man who tried to lure a little girl into his car. Heres a sketch of the man. Police say he drove up to the girl on addison avenue on sunday and told her that her parents sent him to pick her up. She quickly rode away on her bike. Heres an image of the man captured on security camera. A 2003 gold or hyundai eluntra with a gold tag. Police are searching for the car and the driver. A mother says her children could have been seriously kill odder injured after getting caught in the crossfire when a gunman started firing at Police Officers yesterday afternoon. According to witnesses, police told the man to drop the gun. Instead, he opened fire on the officers. Police fired back hitting the man. Several bullets hit the familys home. One went into a secondfloor bedroom and came up within inches of the 15yearold girls head. I was in my moms room and a bullet came flying in the window. I can imagine it was scary, very scary. The mother scrambled to account for each of her four children, one of whom was outside. No one in the home was hurt and no officers were hurt. The gunman is still in the hospital. And happening today, Philadelphia SchoolSuperintendent William hite will outline the immunization guidelines for this year. Now students need an extra dose of meningococcal vaccine. And several security conferences will be held today. School faculty will be told how to keep kids safe and how to discuss Suicide Prevention and Domestic Violence prevention for children. And relative to the deadly standoff in january, indictments will be brought before a grand jury in the next 90 days or so. It has been more than six months since the officer was killed in sm smyrna. And gathering in the feltonville section yesterday, this is where an officer shot david jones june. Surveillance video captured the moments leading up to the shooting. Police say jones ran away after pulling a gun on the officer. Others claim jones didnt have a weapon. Protesters also interrupted an event being held by the Council President daryl clark yesterday after he released a statement saying, because of the circumstances in which mr. Jones was shot and killed, including conflicting witness accounts and the troubling fact that he was shot from behind, we need a thorough investigation. We must also respect our passional fellow citizens who are demanding justice in this tragedy. The Attorney Generals Office is handling the investigation. And take a look at this video. Police say this vehicle was involved in the fatal hitandrun in center city. Its a newer model suv Jeep Wrangler with a spare tire on the back. It also probably has frontend damage. This crash happened near the corner of 13th and race streets. Anne broderick was killed crossing the street when she was hit and the driver never stopped. And new this morning in just jersey, a chicken caesar wrap is what this man got away with after robbing a wawa in spring township sunday before 1 00 a. M. He grabbed the wrap, walked over to the cashier, showed his gun and demanded cash. Then he took off after he got what he wanted. 4 06 now. Now to an update on the Prescription DrugFraud Investigation at the jersey shore. Nbc 10 learned margates City School District and benton School District received subpoenas on friday from the atlanta prosecutors office. They requested information on employees and the Health Insurance coverage. Last month similar subpoenas were issued to margate, ventner and Atlantic City asking for information on city employees. They are investigating whether the employees could be involved in Prescription Drug insurance fraud. 4 06 right now. A new facility will help the International Airport move passengers from the planes more efficiently. The officials will officially open the Multimodal Center today. If youre out over in new jersey, another area, mt. Laurel near 295 also looks good in both directions there. It looks particularly dry, too. A little cooler for washington township, 65 degrees. Mullet hill, 66. Mount laurel, 66 and same for lumberton. Into the 70s, near 80 degrees this afternoon. And through the day, look at the warm up well see. But look at the other line, the moisture line. That will be coming down. The atmosphere will be drying out. So you might see a little bit of fog in some spots this morning. The humidity is high this morning, but it is going to be declining quite a bit, especially temperatures near 80 degrees this afternoon. Theres still a few sprinkles around. But the steady rain is well to the south. A few showers in southern delaware and at the shore to begin with. Clouds will be breaking this afternoon. By later this morning, the last few showers will be completely out of the picture with a few sprinkles moving out of Lancaster County to chester county.
