This morning, Philadelphia Police are searching for the attacker as a frankford woman fights to survive. The mother was so bloody, police at first couldnt tell if she had been beaten or shot. Pamela osborne joins us live from the special victims unit in kensington with the search for the suspect. Whats the latest . Vai, i can tell you that police know exactly who they are looking for, although theyre not releasing that information at this time. They say the suspect is related to both victims. We do want to warn you, though, that the details of these assaults may be difficult for some people to hear. Missy doesnt know the victims, but she tells me she has two girls the same age as the teen who police say was raped at her home overnight. I know if it had been me and my daughters ill say no more. It happened in the frankford neighborhood. When officers arrived around 12 30, they found two victims. A teen who told police a Family Member sexually assaulted her in the home. They knocked when they didnt get a answer, they crimed on the roof of the home next door where they could see the girls mother laying in her own blood, her injuries so severe, they initially thought she had been shot in the head. She was taken toine steen where she was in critical condition. Her daughter, who identified her attacker, was taken to another hospital to be checked out. By late morning, she had been released and was talking to detectives. And that suspect was last seen running from the home naked. Police are still trying to find him at this hour. Two men on the run after a Home Invasion in delaware county. Led to a police chase in philadelphia. Police say just before 11 00 last night, three men broke into a home in prospect park, with several people inside. As Police Arrived, the three were driving away. Thats when the chase began. The pursuit ended on 95 when the men took off on foot. Police caught one man. The other wo got away. Theyre on the loose right now. One person in the home was hurt and is being treated at the hospital. And take a look at this fire that roared through an American Legion post in philadelphia, destroying memories and breaking hearts. Yesterday, flames at the legion post in frankford were so intense, they broke through windows. It sd stroyed keepsake photos, uniforms and medals. Several people inside the building were not hurt physically, but emotionally, it was difficult. The fire took its toll on neighbors. Things that cant be replaced. I think god none of my friends were hurt. Very heartbreaking. Were supposed to be here this afternoon. One firefighter had a minor wrist injury. Investigators are looking for the cause of the fire. Philadelphia police hope new Surveillance Video can help them catch a man who robbed a Thai Restaurant in chestnut hill. They entered the restaurant late friday night armed with a gun and ordered everyone to get on the floor. Then they took cash from the register. They also stole money and a cell phone from workers before running off. If you recognize these men, youre asked to call detectives. Really nice way to end the month of may. An Animal Rescue organization is now offering a 3,000 reward to find the people who tortured and burned two dogs in delaware county. The dogs were found in a plastic container over the weekend on west sixth street in chester. They were tied up and set on fire. You dont see the effects everyone else has. Its more or less inner and how i feel every day. Your quality of life is pretty good . Its great. A Police Investigation on i95 in philadelphia that has traffic backed up for miles, as you can see. Sky force 10 was over the scene near penns landing. The road was closed for a short time and were working to get more information about exactly what happened, but we did see a body laying in the road. And this just in. A county prosecutor in cincinnati is considering criminal charges in the controversial killing of an engarjed gorilla. Zoo officials said they did it to save the life of a child who slipped into the animal enclosure, but a petition is going around to charge the parents with neglect. The 3yearold boy climbed over a railing and walked through bushes before plunging some 15 feet inthis moat. The gorilla was seen dragging the child through water. Zoo officials said they had to shoot it to save the boy. They did the right thing because a tranquilizer could have made the animal more dangerous. He gets popped. You wouldnt want to watch what would happen. Youd be sitting there going why in the world did they do that . Why in the world . The boy was treated at the hospital, released the same day. The Prosecutors Office said theyll wait for the Cincinnati Police department to finish their investigation before making a decision about charges. We reached out to the philadelphia zoo about how their animal enclosures are set up. The zoo had to add extra fencing a federal inspection found the zoos wharf enclosure was not secure enough. A man who spent three days trapped in his wrecked car has a couple sight seers to thank for his rescue. The suv went off a Mountain Road in Central Arizona and tumbled more than 350 feet down a steep embankment. On friday, a couple pulled off the remote road to take pictures. When they noticed the vehicle lying on its side in thick brush. They alertly called 911 and within minutes, emergency crews were on the scene getting the crash victim out of the wreck. The man doesnt have any immediate family, so no one reported him missing. For a man trapped in a car to a man trapped in an escalator. Chinese repairman suffered extensive injuries after a moving staircase swallowed him up over the weekend. According to chinese media, the remareman failed to disconnect the power to the escalator before getting to work. When he removed the flooring section, the escalator started moving and pulled him under the steps. Firefighters dismantled the escalator to free him up. If you need a swarm of bees removed from your home, dont do it yourself. A florida man took matters into his own hands when bees took up residence in his home. So we started out five years ago with just a social group in south jersey. Now were extending it nationally and we have a chapter forming out of san fernando valley, california, also one that is recently established in western new york. And we have another one established thats becoming established in oregon. And we also have one at my college where i go to school, ta Stockton University. So we have five National Chapters and were going to continue to expand and were trying to get more chapters in this area as well. When you started it, could you have ever imagined it would grow like this and grow nationally . I always wanted to do this. I always saw myself doing this, its definitely a calling. In the beginning, i was starting up, but once i got into it, i knew i wanted to expand this nationally. Whats the response you get from your friends and for those who are involved in fantastic friends . Its so beautiful. Everybody is so supportive and caring, and they all just really want to help the cause and help it grow. And help these really special kids. So its been amazing. First, the show is moving to california. Second, theres a new judge with a notorious reputation. Mark barger has a preview. The summer search for talent is entering its second decade. Well, not even 12 00, and already seeing a quick warmup into the 80s, and climbing to the upper 80s this afternoon. Nice rebound. We had that warm weekend until we hit memorial day yesterday. The clouds kept temperatures in the 70s in philadelphia. Cooler with the rain at the shore and the delaware beaches. 60s there. But were back into the upper 80s this afternoon. And a nice break from the rain. At least for a few days. The chances of showers really increase at the very end of the work week, for friday. Thats the most likely to see the return of some rain for philadelphia. Dover, not so much, but allentown, yes, a good chance well see some rain and a chance of some showers for Atlantic City at the very end of the work. For today, though, were just watching the temperatures. Enjoying the sunshine, too. 80 now in Lehigh Valley. In the suburbs, already in the low 80s along with delaware. Still in the 70s but more sunshine now in new jersey, and at the shore, 79 degrees. Philadelphia, 82, and fox chase, society, up to 85 degrees and still climbing. Bright sunshine will take us through the afternoon for philadelphia, for the suburbs, and for the Lehigh Valley. A few scattered clouds this evening. 71 degrees. That will limit the cooldown overnight making fog les likely in parts of the area, and that drier air will also limit any return of fog tomorrow morning. Doesnt look like its going to happen. 80s for delaware and new jersey at the shore, 70s this afternoon. Today will be the warmest day of the next few days. Satellite and radar, the clouds have already moved out. The next round of showers, were watching two things, watching the remnants of bonnie, which are parked just off the carolina coast. These are going to be moving up the coast. Theres a chance well see late week showers in parts of the area from the remnants of bonnie, but the other one is to the west. A front coming in from the west is going to give us another chance of showers, and thats on friday. You can see it made some progress over the next 24 hours. By 10 00 tomorrow morning, scattered showers in the chicago area. Still a long way from us, but watch the progress of bonnies remnants, moving up towards the eastern coast of north carolina. Thats by 7 00 tomorrow evening. At the same time, the front is coming in from the west. We could see showers from parts of southern delaware and into jersey on thursday morning, thats a possibility. Also a chance thats going to stay farther offshore. Then that would make the cold front the next round of showers, which by thursday afternoon is producing some heavy showers and possibly some thunderstorms in interior pennsylvania with just a slight chance of a shower in our area on thursday. Good chance were going to stay dry until friday. And today, we will be heating up to near 90 degrees this afternoon. Not quite as hot for tomorrow and thursday. Another weak cold front comes through. Dont expect to see showers, but it will drop the temperatures some and bring the humidity down more so than well feel this afternoon. Then a chance of rain on friday into saturday. Saturday, we will get breaks of sunshine. Sunday, a different story. Clouds hanging in there with chance of showers. 80, the High Temperature on sunday, and a few showers continuing into monday before we dry out for another couple days.
