Well also give you a flavor of the host city of houston. Philadelphia police are looking for the gunmen who left a teen to die on the street. A 14yearold boy from Delaware County was shot in the back on north 60th street in West Philadelphia. This happened just before 10 00 last night. Right now hes in Critical Condition. So far there are no suspects. And police are looking for a gunman who shot and critically wounded a man in West Philadelphia overnight. A car dropped off the victim at a hospital. Police traced the shooting to south cecil street where they found blood leading to the victims home. We just got this new video from Philadelphia Police who say it shows a man robbing the same 7eleven store twice. The first time on march 12th, the robber pointed a gun at a worker at the store on lebanon avenue in overbrook. The worker ran to an office and called police. The robber took off empty handed, but then he returned to that store last wednesday and jumped over the counter with a knife. This time he got away with some money from the cash register. And a mother has apologized for this viral video that shows Young Children cursing, hitting and spitting on the septa l train. We blurred the childrens faces in this cell phone video because no crime was committed. A rider recorded the video on the l before the kids exited at the york dauphen station in philadelphia. People who saw the recording and recognized the children alerted a mother her two sons were among the five kids in the video. Im like my kids . And when i seen i was like, oh, my god, i was shocking and ashamed a little bit. Parents told nbc 10 the man who shot the video instigated the incident with the kids but dont condone the childrens behavior. Septa police say they contacted the parents and offered them social services. And hundreds reacted to and commented on this story in our nbc 10 Facebook Page. So these temperatures are 20 Degrees Higher than they were just a few hours ago. So theyre going up. Were dry again, a lot of sunshine, clouds back to the west. And then showers further west of chicago still. So its going to take a while before they get in here. Nothing but sunshine during the day today. Temperatures getting up close to the 60 degree mark. Not much wind, but it is going to start picking up a little bit later in the day. And thats going to start bringing in much warmer air. Vai, we are looking a little better than we were a few minutes ago. Were looking at the ben franklin bridge right here. Within the past 15 minutes or so a lot of the delay has cleared out. For the last several hours the entire length of the bridge was backed up headed westbound, all four lanes in here headed westbound into philadelphia. So now what were seeing are just some of the tail end of the delays thats because we had earlier construction on the vine street expressway blocking off some of the ramps. Now, heres the vine street expressway right around 24th street. We are still seeing some of that residual delay there. So its headed westbound towards the schuylkill, or if youre getting off one of the ramps at the 30th street station big delay there is and still traveling on to the schuylkill expressway where were seeing some of that delay. Speaking of more construction, the platt bridge westbound towards the airport the right lane is closed until 3 00 p. M. And the rest of the bridges, betsy ross bridge eastbound to rich mobd u monday, that ramp is closed until may. Thank you, jessica. New this morning, president obama officially endorsed josh shapiro for attorney general. Mr. Obama says the Montgomery County commissioner represents a new generation of progressive leadership. The president says shapiro has a strong record of standing up for pennsylvania families. Shapiro talked about the endorsement just a few minutes ago. Hes a progressive fighter. He wants someone who can carry on leadership now into the next generation here in this country. And im very honored and extraordinarily humbled by those words. Shapiro is seeking to replace embattled democrat Kathleen Kane who is not seeking reelection in november. The 59yearold man identified by authorities as seif eldin mustafa. Authorities say he admitted to hijacking an egypt air flight and forcing it to land in cyprus. The man boarded the plane in alexandria and threatened to blow it up. Authorities say this video shows the hijacker as he was passing through Airport Security yesterday morning. You can see him going through the metal detector. And then getting a patdown. Investigators say the man was wearing a fake explosives vest. He held passengers and crew members hostage for six hours before he finally released them all and surrendered. Before the standoff ended a crew member happened to escape out the cockpit window. You see him on the left going out the window. Investigators say the hijacking was not an act of terror. They say the man appears to have a family problem. An official says after landing in cypress the man asked to speak to his exwife who they brought to the airport. And then check this out. A man posed for a picture with the hijacker, and then this photo is all over social media. The british passenger on the right there was among the last to be freed when the hijacked incident ended. Yeah, weve been blown around for a couple of days. That brought the cold air in. And now the wind is going to start picking up later today, and especially tomorrow, bringing in the 70s. The temperatures are going back up, and theyre going back up fast. We got some thunderstorms in the forecast for friday. And then we have some much colder air thats going to be coming in at least starting over a part of the weekend. Look how beautiful that picture is, bright blue sky. The visibility is excellent. And weve got a Beautiful Day out there. 49 degrees, the wind is only 8 miles an hour. Its been a long time since weve seen that. And were in the mid to upper 40s across much of the area. Even mt. Pocono is at 43 degrees. 49 in philadelphia and wilmington. Some of the warmest spots, 49 also in millville. Millville was one of those places that did get down into the 20s overnight. Lets show you some of these allentown, quakertown, pottstown, reading, all in the mid 20s. Bluebell 27. Mt. Holly, 26 degrees. 28 in trenton. 27 in blue bell while it was 37 in philadelphia. When you have clear skies and light winds, which is what we had, you get this kind of a big contrast across the area. Theres the 25 in millville, 27 Atlantic City airport, the wind is coming out of the south. Not very strong yet. But 5 to 10 miles an hour still calm in allentown. That wind is going to be blowing the pollen around the next couple of days, its high today. Going to be high tomorrow. But with the rain coming in on friday thats going to knock it down. But only knock it down for one day. So you get a little bit of a break. We got another sunny day out there. No clouds until you really get to ohio, and rain until you get west of chicago. So its going to take a little while for that rain to come in. As we go through the night tonight, its clear. Tomorrow morning we start to see some clouds come in. So there will be more clouds tomorrow, but tomorrows issue is the warmth getting back into the 70s. Then tomorrow night some showers come in, not all that heavy. If we get heavy rain, it is with showers and storms coming in on friday, maybe a couple of rounds of heavier showers. For the rest of the day today sunny, relatively light breeze. A 92yearold woman is recovering from an attack in her home. The elderly woman was found bound and beaten in the basement of her Ewing Township home yesterday morning. Police believe two men ransacked the house and then assaulted the victim before tying her up. The victim was found when a friend came to check on her. Its really sad. I guess it could happen in any neighborhood anywhere, you know. We just have to be very cautious. This is the second Home Invasion in Ewing Township this month. Theres new information out this morning about the number of victims still in the hospital a week after the brussels terror attack. Authorities say 90 people now remain in the hospital. 49 of those in intensive care. The blast killed 35 people including the three suicide bombers who blew themselves up at the airport and subway station. The Brussels Airport remains closed this morning. Officials hope to reopen it on a limited basis today, but thats not happening. American Airlines Says it plans to resume flights to and from brussels next week. The airline has one flight scheduled from philadelphia to brussels next thursday. And brussels subway system is mostly up and running again under heavy security 67. Dozens of soldiers are patrolling station platforms along the main subway line, but a metro station hit by suicide bomber remains closed. The mayor of brussels said his city can never go back to normal again. Terminix will pay 10 million in fines after using a toxic pesticide that made a delaware family sick while they were on vacation in st. John. And the plea deal the company admitted using the pesticide, which has been banned for indoor use since the 1980s. They underwent rehabilitation therapy after getting sick last march. Their two sons ended up in the hospital in Critical Condition and have permanent neurological damage. A new jersey home supposedly stalked by an anonymous creepy letter writer who goes by the watcher is back on the market. Nbcs craig melvin tells us why. Reporter this morning, on the market and someone is very interested in it, but its not a buyer. The folks who own this milliondollar dream home say they cant move in because a creepy selfproclaimed watcher has freaked them out. In their mailbox, typewritten letters talking about, quote, young blood. A possible reference to their three children. They have a sick feeling in their stomach. Reporter so terrifying the family is trying to sell for 1. 25 million. Thats about 105,000 less than they paid for it in 2014. I think anybody who purchases this home is going to have a great home. Its a shame what occurred here. You dont wish this on your worst enemy. Reporter the family tried to move last year after claiming the watcher sent an eerie letter three days after they closed on the home. So weirded out they never moved in. Why are you here . I will find out, they say the watcher wrote. The family says also wrote my grandfather watched the house in the 1920s and my father watched it in the 1960s. It is now my time. A second letter taunted, have they found what is in the walls yet . I am pleased to know your names now, and the name of the young blood you have brought to me. The family is suing previous owners claiming they got letters too when they lived there but didnt disclose it because they worried the sale would fall through. The woods are countersuing for other charges including defamation. They admit they did receive an anonymous note but deny it was disturbing. We dont have that letter of what was sent. What we do have is the three letters that my clients receive. Reporter the watcher writing in another alleged letter, all the windows and doors allow me to watch you and track you. Thank you very much, marissa. Thank you. You may have noticed that youre paying more at the gas pump. Gas prices are at their highest level so far this year. Aaas fuel price gauge shows the average price for regular at 2. 04 a gallon. Prices have risen for 22 Straight Days and up 30 cents for the month. They could climb further thanks to a combo of Strong Demand for fuel and a seasonal drop in refinery activity. Lets look at prices in our area. Right now in philadelphia about 2. 15 for a gallon of regular. In delaware about 1. 94. South jersey of course almost always lower there at 1. 82. And former new york city mayor Michael Bloomberg and other philanthropists are giving 125 million for a new cancer fighting effort. That money will go toward creating an institute that focuses on immuno therapy. Technology uses a patients immune system to destroy cancer cells. Vice President Joe Biden helped make yesterdays announcement. Biden is overseeing the white house Moonshot Mission to find the cure for cancer. He lost his son, former delaware attorney general beau biden of course to brain cancer. This is personal for so many of us that are in this hall. And the millions of americans who face that dreaded phrase, im afraid you have cancer. Doctors say immunotherapy works best when paired with certain cancer drugs. And a new study shows more kids take advantage of Free School Breakfasts when the meals are offered in the classroom as opposed to the cafeteria. New york citys Public Schools decided to give the option of a classroom breakfast to remove the stigma of going to the cafeteria. Participation went up from 25 to 80 . Artists and publishers from around the country and the world will gather in philadelphia this weekend for an event celebrating art and photography. And the 2016 philadelphia art book fair will be held in center city starting friday. And here to tell is more about it is keith yarley of the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center. Keith, we welcome you. Thank you for coming in. Thanks for having me. Tell us more about the fair and whats in store this year. So the fair is going to be a really exciting event. The event itself is presented by the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center and the print center and produced by the event is friday april 1st and saturday april 2nd and will take place at 830 foger street. This years fair is you know, well have a diverse range of art and photography from different publishers as well as publications from individual artists and institutions alike. Can you tell us give us a heads up on who your keynote speaker is for the event this year. Yeah, so the headline event which is on saturday april 2nd is keynote speaker doug dub a visual of teenagers coming of age in ireland, his book. Its going to be a really good talk. You just mentioned ireland. Now, the fair is going to bring together work from various cultures. Tell us more about that. Yeah. Also highlighting the fair on friday april 1st is british photographer paul graham who will be signing copies of his two latest releases. And he will also after doing signing of the book fair will have a lecture at the Philadelphia Museum of art. So its a pretty busy weekend for the arts in philadelphia. After a pretty chilly morning with temperatures down in the 20s in much of the area, were warming up a little bit today. Were going to warm up a whole lot tomorrow. The 70s are going to be coming back. Thunderstorms are going to be coming back as well, but not until friday. And we do see another round of much colder air moving in before the weekend is over. We have bright sunshine out there now. The flag is blowing, but nothing like the last couple of days. The wind only 8 miles an hour. The temperature 49 degrees, so were definitely going up through the 50s. Our average high now is up to about 58. We got to 70 on monday. 59 yesterday. Around 60 today. 74 degrees on thursday. And 75 on friday before we start coming down again. Its up to 50 degrees now in washington township, 52 in chester springs. 47 in trenton. Its 52 in coatesville. 48 in oxford. 44 in doylestown. Were starting to see some numbers in the 50s already. Newark, delaware 52. 51 in millville. 50 in beechhaven. Millville down into the mid20s this morning. So its really jumped up. Weve got sunshine across the entire area. Clouds coming in through ohio and the showers, the closest showers are around chicago. Its going to take awhile to get here. As we go through the night tonight, its clear. Tomorrow morning we start to see some clouds, but the southerly winds bringing up the warmer air. The showers come, a few tomorrow night. Not during the day tomorrow. And then look at that. That could be a potential line of thunderstorms coming through friday morning. Then we get a break. Temperatures go into the 70s. And then another shot coming in on friday afternoon. So thats when were most likely to see the rain. During the day today sunny, the wind not very strong. About 5 to 10 miles an hour. Picking up a little bit later today, temperatures right around 60 degrees for the high. And then we jump up on thursday 74 degrees, windy and warm. Look how cool it gets thursday night and into friday morning. A low of 63 degrees. So it doesnt take much to jump up to 75. Showers and thunderstorms during the day. The clouds linger on saturday, and there is a chance that there could be some lingering rain as well. Well update that this afternoon as some new data comes in.
