Driving rain and sustained winds of more than 110 Miles Per Hour, its the strongest storm in almost a half century. We could see storm surge between, 10, 12 feet. The mideast severe hit from the storm is expected overnight leaving those in the path leaving little time to move to higher ground. Were targeted the areas encouraging people in the strongest language to get off the island. In other words just get out of dodge. Thats what thousands are doing in corpus christy. They are material things. We can always get that back. Im not willing to risk my childs life. The same push is underway where bus loads of people and pets are being shuttled to safety. So what can we expect landfall right around midnight with up to three feet of rain for some. Probably more for others. Tornado watches and warnings have been issued. We already have reports of tornadoes in galveston. And what i do think will happen here locally in the midatlantic region is we do have a building ridge that will move eastward and that will allow a will the of the moisture to move into our area.
