Today his office told nbc 10 stores were charging customers before the tax went into effect. They were also apparently upping the price for drinks like juice and milk where the tax doesnt apply. This afternoon the Pennsylvania FoodMerchants Association called that an outrage attack and said the mayors tax is gouging families across philadelphia. The tax is placed on drink distributors who can pass it along to customers. A partial victory for new Jersey Governor Chris Christie in the bridgegate scandal. A judge overturned a previous ruling against christie. She denied christies attempt to dismiss the complaint and ordered a lower court to hold a new hearing. The complaint was filed by a citizen, who claims christie violated the law by not reopening lanes on the George Washington bridge which were closed in an alleged political revenge plot. Governor christies second in command is in the running to take over his job. The Lieutenant Governor filed paperwork to run in the primary. Heres that area of showers weve been watching with the cold front starting to weaken. And the computer models do show it breaking up, falling apart. And here are the actual temperatures going down. And then we watch a system coming in from the west. And that may bring some snow. Its likely to bring it to washington and baltimore. Theyre going to get more snow than we will. So any kind of treated roads, many even untreated roads with light snow would see it melt during the day. Then it all falls apart in the afternoon.
