They run the race because its become a favorite of the american running scene, rain or no rain. Thats a starting line thats going to be packed. Its been around and growing since 1980. First time running broad street. Really super excited. Reporter this run, now the biggest city organized race in america we have National Recognition because of us. Reporter the eighth biggest overall race in america. Some runners argue its the best. As youre going down, you get all the high fives, and with every high five, you get more energy. Gets you out in philly from one end to the other. Just always exciting. Many of the runners train specifically for this race. Its anybodys run. You know, ten miles is not a marathon. Its a challenging distance, but its not impossible to do. Its an iconic race, and you get to see every neighborhood in philadelphia.
