The blizzard of 2016 battered beaches up and down delaware. Now the race is on to get everything back in order before the busy Summer Season. Tim furlong surveys the shore and looks at whats being done to rebuild. It was very windy. Debby was in Bethany Beach when the storm came through, it was a blizzard up north but a rainy windy expensive dune buster for spots like bethany and dewey beach. Hit hard. Looks like 75 of the dunes are gone. Reporter crews are pushing sand back but beach access ramps drop off and a piece of a new bike trail is closed. The question, will the beach towns be ready for the tourists back here in just a few months. Im very confident that the beaches will be restored to their normal Summer Vacation appearance. So everyone seems confident delaware will have beaches ready for the Summer Season but what if a noreaster hits before that and what about the upcoming hurricane season.
