Reporter they tell me their son has a big heart and they are heart broken to start because the start of their sons day was nothing out of the ordinary. The victim was making plans with his dad after working yesterday and having dinner at home last night, but he was headed right here westbound along the Atlantic City expressway this morning to his workplace at the parx casino in philadelphia when he somehow lost control. Taken the car out to fill it up with gas this morning because i get up early, he didnt have to get up for work till later. Reporter Bruce Crawford is devastated by the sudden loss of his son joseph. The 39 year old became trapped inside a burning car when he lost control westbound and slammed into the egg harbor toll plaza. State police tell us toll workers were evacuated safely but immediately as the toll plaza itself caught fire. Sky force 10 also shows the aftermath of the terrible crash. The car, a Hyundai Sonata was full of gas and fully involved. Now were watching the rain, its mostly back off to our west approaching slowly, but ahead we have a lot of cloud cover, so the clouds will be moving in tonight. This is going to be keeping us warmer through the overnight hours, so not cold overnight tonight. Many areas staying in the mid to upper 40s and the rain moving in for tomorrow. We stay warm for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Clouds move in, but we do stay dry overnight tonight. 7 00 tomorrow morning, showers over the poconos, moving into the Lehigh Valley and there you see the cold front bringing the rain. By tomorrow afternoon, showers mostly north of philadelphia, but then sliding to the south, rain right around 9 00 p. M. For the philadelphia area, even south jersey and delaware and this area is going to keep moving south. By sunday we start to see clearing from north to south and going to last through the day. Cooler temperatures move in behind the rain, so youll notice that as we go into sunday and especially into monday. For tonight, though, not as cold, clouds increasing, mid to upper 40s. Tomorrow cloudy day, temperatures around 60 degrees, so still above normal for this time of year, but will get cooler to sunday. 53 for the high there. Monday upper 40s, morning lows in the 30s, then next week tuesday and wednesday expect some rain around, temperatures near 60 on wednesday but cooling down again into thursday. Nbc 10 continues to follow breaking news out of Colorado Springs, colorado. Police are now saying that there are officers still in the planned parenthood building. There were reports they are taking fire. A shooter opened fire earlier this afternoon outside the clinic and police say hes still firing his weapon either in or around that building. Weve learned now also a fourth officer has been injured, along with several other people. One local hospital reporting it has five patients its treating from the scene. The fbi s. W. A. T. Team is on its way to the scene, as well. Also president obama has been briefed on the situation. Were gathering new details by the minute. Well have a full update coming up at the top of the hour. Youre looking at a live picture of the scene in Colorado Springs. This is near a planned parenthood. Were told five people are being treated at a local hospital. We know four officers were injured. It all started before noon today when police told nearby businesses and residents to shelter in place. We are still working through the situation.
