Next 10s Brandon Hudson is live at the home in southwest philadelphia. Brandon, do police think this was a random attack . Reporter jacqueline and jim, Police Believe the victim was targeted. The suspects got in through the back of this house. They say they broke in through the back window which is next to that door. Then killed the 77yearold homeowner. Since our last report, we spoke to friends who described the victim as a great guy. In the hours following the gruesome find made by the victims son, Philadelphia Police collected evidence from this murder. The place a 77yearold man called home on theodore street most of his life now a crime scene. At this time investigators havent said if they found a weapon. A shame, im telling you. Reporter arthur became friends with the victim years ago from their time at the American Legion post. Arthur got a phone call his buddy was killed. When is the last time you saw him . Friday. He was out for his walk. He came by the house. I was sitting on the porch. We talked. Reporter investigators say the suspects broke in through a back window around 1 30 monday morning which woke up neighbors. I heard a boom like that and the wall shook. Reporter one neighbor called police. Were told officers went to the home, checked the front door but didnt see anything suspicious. It wasnt until the son who had not heard from his dad went to the house 36 hours later that the victim was found dead in the living room. It appears the homeowner died of Blunt Force Trauma to the head. Clearly somebody knows whats going on out here and needs to do the right thing. Reporter youre going to get another look at the house. The screen that was smashed and broken during the breakin. Police believe this may actually be the second time this 77yearold man was attacked. They believe the first one happened on friday. Theyre not sure yet if the two attacks are related. Theyre also looking for the homeowners van which was which may have been stolen. Live in elmwood, Brandon Hudson, nbc 10 news. Two people stabbed in bucks county right across from the fire department. Skyforce 10 was over the scene on north 5th street in perkasie. Both victims were taken to the hospital. Theres no word tonight on their condition and police also havent released any information on suspects or a motive. New at 11 00, police in northeast philadelphia are trying to track a tire slasher after nearly a dozen cars were hit in mayfair. Police were called to the 2900 block of tyson avenue. Just after 5 00 this morning. Thats where they found 11 vehicles with at least 1 tire slashed. We saw several vehicles with the spare tire on. One neighbor we spoke to said its time to think twice about where to park. I might start using my old garage now. Im not nervous, but im more cautious because, like, peoples tires are getting slashed. Police say they have Surveillance Video of a male suspect punching a tire. Total damage is estimated at around 2,500. A deadly discovery in chester county. Someone found a womans body tied to a cinderblock in a pond. Skyforce 10 was above the pond in east coventry township. Investigators are trying to find out who the woman was and how she died. They believe she was killed and dumped into the pond. We spoke to one of the men who found the victim yesterday morning. We left and i got on with my day and later in the day it kind of hit me, like, this really happened to an area where me and my children just moved to. Detectives believe the woman was between 25 and 35 years old. They hopephotos of jewelry, clothing and tattoo on her Left Shoulder will help someone identify her. Rendell did voice concerns in a recent buzzfeed article that sanders supporters could well be disruptive inside the convention. Its my hope that sanders people will tell their delegates and their supporters to be positive, to rally for bernie, to make noise for bernie. So the future swcast as we egothrough the next 24 hours, one of the computer models is predicting some isolated showers at least coming in during the afternoon to at least part of the area. And thats the reason that in my neighborhood forecast, i actually have some showers, for example, in devon and reading, but not allentown and easton. And not newtown because theyre farther to the east. Thats what we can tdo with the neighbor ehood weather, fry to pinpoint what we actually think is going to happen. Now at the shore, the temperatures are down near 70 degrees because of that east wind. And then here we go, on friday, cold front approaches.
