Temperaturewise right now, it is not cold enough for snow to be falling, especially when you go higher up in the atmosphere but it will get cold enough. Right now were in the 40s but the numbers will drop into the 30s. Take a look at future weather here. Now were looking at 2 00 in the morning. Rain changing to snow. Temperatures dropping into the 30s. 4 00 in the morning now in the mid to low 30s. You see the snow cover south jersey and delaware and philadelphia, 5 00 a. M. Dealing with snow and 7 00 a. M. Dealing with snow and the locally higher amounts, more than 4 inches in parts of new jersey and delaware. Two to four inches here in the white shaded areas. Closer to philadelphia one to two and areas farther north and west up to an inch there. With the impacts for the morning commute, mainly grassy accumulations, low visibility and especially for much of south jersey, wet snow with low visibility and some of this if heavy enough will stick to the roads. Sky force ten, the only witness as this police chase ended with a crash and a splash. A robbery suspect plunged into a creek and police say his stolen loot helped them track his every move. This is where he ended up crashed into this small neighborhood creek more than 26 miles from his initial gunpoint robbery. U qe fast enough to capture this, 100 mile an hour plus chase first on the regions busiest highway and darting past drivers on small neighborhood streets, a violent cell phone thief on the run through two states until this crash at the end of a quiet culdesac. I saw a car speed past and then i saw a police car right on him. Reporter dawson was the first neighbor out of her house that began at this south philly Verizon Store where a man burst in with a gun around 8 00, tied up employees, customers, stole cell phones and took off. Guy with a mask walks in and pull as gun out. Give us all the phones, lied us up. Reporter as the robber fled first on i76, then 95 he didnt know his stolen loot, those cell phones were pinpointing his every move. No officers were involved again in this 26mile chase. None of them were injured, but a number of agencies involved, as you imagine from philly to new castle county. The victim is now at the hospital. No word on his condition. The shooting involving police in philadelphia tonight, an officer fired at a car full of suspects after the driver allegedly dried to run over the officers partner. Those officers had been following the car before it stopped in feltonville. No one was shot but one suspect was shocked with a taser. Three people were arrested. Girls and boys duking it out in school hallways. Tonight, students are calling it tight week. They are boosting security and trying to address the rumors. Andrea kline thomas reports. This shows boys in an all out brawl, one student throws another on the floor and kicks him repeatedly before being tackled by an officer. Its very disturbing because you think these kids are going to school to learn and never heard of this happening at abington high school. Reporter according to the district, there have been five fights at the high school over the last few days. Videos have shown males and females involved. In one instance, a School Resource officer was punched. You dont want any of this nonsense to be spreading to neighborhoods. Reporter district leaders refused an on camera interview and staff referred us to a letter online and said the fights are being investigated and each incident started outside of school. So if this is a thing, then i would hope that the Police Departments would work with the School Districts and be there ahead of time. Reporter in response there was more security on campus today as the district continues to address parents concerns and rumors. In a letter the superintendent said today at the high school was quiet, but the investigation into the fight is on going, and the students involved could be expelled from school. This will run until noon tomorrow. That snow will be forming overnight. So first alert weather, overnight tonight into tomorrow morning, rain changes to snow and the biggest impacts will be around the philadelphia area, new jersey and along the jersey shore, parts of delaware, too. For the morning rush, we will see wet snow in the area and low visibility and i think slippery roadways as the temperatures start to drop. Temperatures not cold enough to support snow just yet. Were in the 40s. 39 and later on tonight, we will get cold enough. This is future weather. Take a look as we go through the next few hours, very fast changeover from rain to snow by 2 00 in the morning, temperatures in the 30s. You see the snow really starting to spread through parts of montgomery, mercer county, the i95, new jersey and delaware. The darker purple, thats where we can have heavy wet snow that would be lowering visibility and if enough falls at once, it would be accumulating on some paved surfaces. At this point, we would be dealing with a lot of issues on the road way because were looking at 6 00 a. M. Low visibility and everyone will seeing the snow falling by 6 00 a. M. Not if youre in the extreme parts of lee high valley and delaware by 8 00 a. M. Starting to taper off in philadelphia but still continuing in new jersey. By 9 00 a. M. , slowly starting to move out by 10 00 a. M. We see improvements and then through the afternoon, we see developing sunshine with temperatures right around 40 degrees. So here at the totals, two to four for new jersey, one to two in philadelphia up to about an inch farther north and west but here is what to expect with the rain to wet snow for interior new jersey.
