A lot of times i think parents are afraid to have those conversations because there are boundaries that they dont set in other aspects of their lives so when youre talking about the cell phone thats a dangerous conversation because if you say dont do this you have to follow through with repercussions and doing something about it. I there are 20 states who have sexting laws. And thats a protective measure because pennsylvania and new jersey implementing sexting laws in 2012 so that children arent charged for child important graph dmi can be a felony charge. You think youre passion around a picture of a friend or somebody at school but in reality you could be brabing the law. Like in pennsylvania right now there are different levels. If i send a picture of just myself, thats just one level, thats a summary charge it which could be a and then you go up to sending it to someone else and receiving it and stuff, it can be up to a third degree misdemeanor which can be up to even more money and charge. Then when were talk about the state of delaware, because they dont have sexting teen law, all you who engaged in these behaviors are charged as adults, they can be adults and they can be charged for child pornography and that kab felony charge where theyre actually incarcerated. So kids who think that, you know, its people out there are on the dark web that are sending this stuff, no, if youre sending pictures of your girlfriend, your boyfriend, yourself, other people in school, you fall into this category. The biggest thing is for children to understand that anytime you have any sexually kplies it or nude pictures taken of yourself or someone else takes it, its child pornography because thats showing a picture and sending information of a child under the age of 18. Tell us about what inspired to you go to south africa do it andles the difficulty in registers. Ive been fortunate since ive been injured to be active and get involved in a the lov things. One of the things did i a couple years ago with a lot of people from work with the state police and Philadelphia Police department they do a memorial run from philadelphia to d. C. So did i that an a hand cycle and that was just moving. You finish at the Law Enforcement memorial its Law Enforcement week when you get there and its an earth shattering experience and touching. Two years ago i did the Marines Corps marathon this wlaz an amazing experience. I had never been in an event where there had been that many adaptive athletes. Broad street had the most ive ever participated in with some sometimes ten or 12 pot to show up with hundred on hand cycles and its a military event and they have something called a blue mile, its an entire mile of people that are there representing people that weve lost in our service was kind of mind blowing. And within that same time period i was introduced to the comrades marathon of somebody that had it on hir bikt list of races they wanted to do. It was a war mem jal tart bad soldier after 1980 tine when the wars ended i think they lost the most military that had ever been lost in the history of the world and he fought the com rads Memorial Association for about three years to want to do this mem jal run. I think the first year there was maybe 12 or 16 athletes that did it and its grown to over 22,000 athletes every year. It was so appealing but when i went to register they said we do not accept athletes, its not something that they did. And of course having a younger sister that likes to point you out when youre wrong i was talk about the race and she said, i think i saw somebody that did it. I said im pretty sure you didnt. And low and behold. She was right. So i was like, thats my . You and i, ive known you since 2009 when i first started here as a roert because you helped to deliver a baby on 95, obviously working on the fooeltd field as a state trooper. I was tofrt have Permanent Limited Duty was something that our department needed to add which is why still employed with the Pennsylvania State police on a permanent basis. Ive been involved is with w so many rehab facilities and prudent proud so say im part of the Running Community even though im in a operation wheelchair and theyve just been amazing and sipping and theyre a huge part of the reason why i feel like theres nothing wrong with me wanting to show up and participate wev else.
