Due to amtrak problems no service is operating to the churchmans crossing station and to the newark station, but regular service on this line is operating between wilmington and center city. So, thats something that we wanted to prepare you and make sure you were aware of. Heading to the Lehigh Valley route 22 at route 309, all is quiet here. No accidents to report there. We did have an accident earlier this morning elsewhere on 22. The westbound side offramp to route 191. That accident has since cleared. Unfortunately, cant say the same about this one, though. Route 130 southbound in Burlington Township is still blocked at lincoln avenue all because of an accident that happened in the overnight hours. You can take 295 as your alternate. Tracy . Jillians been talking about the dangers on the road all morning. Heres why. Thats black ice, and you can see the icy patch on roosevelt boulevard between 9th and berkeley. No one was hurt in this accident but this morning salt trucks are making their rounds in Camden County. Crews are treating major roads, like route 70 for the most part, not so much the side streets. Well, here in philadelphia most of the major roads, like central behind you and also cottman avenue, they were pretreated with a salt solution before the storm and since the storm, they were plowed. So theyre really issuefree. There are no slick spots for me to report. And we were driving around the city for much of this morning. But here on the side roads, a different story. Also on the sidewalks. You can see some of the snow pack here. Thats because much of the sidewalks and side streets, they were not pretreated before the storm, and many of them have not been plowed. Now, also black ice and slick streets were an issue for new Jersey Drivers late last night. This is video from haddonfield. Drivers there tell us theyve been forced to drive slowly since the storm because of the icy conditions. I did speak with Police Dispatchers in Camden County just a few minutes ago. They tell me overnight there have been no major crashes or issues due to the black ice. Now, back here in fox chase on this side street the philadelphia Streets Department theyve sent out spotters to assess the conditions during and after the storm. Coming up in the next half hour well talk about the worst spots in philadelphia to freeze over. Ill tell you what they are so youll know if you live in them and those areas to avoid. It happened on new briton or happened in new briton on curley mill road. The house was destroyed. Firefighters faced heavy flames and they had to deal with those temperatures that felt like they were in the teens last night. Four people did escape the house unharmed. The driver caused his camry suddenly sped up and crashed into another car, killing three people. Grief counseling will be available for students at a local high school this morning following the suicides of two teens. That begins our countybycounty coverage. Burlington Township High School is dealing with the aftermath of those suicides. Ado helciks father says he committed suicide on new years day in the family home without warning. He was 15. On monday his 18yearold friend, michael steve, also committed suicide. And those who knew michael say he was distraught over ados death. Administrators at the high school say they will provide grief counselors for those who need it for as long as necessary. A Chester County church held its final service after being part of the community for 60 years. St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Pottstown was struggling financially. Parishioners attended last nights Epiphany Service before the Church Closed for good. Members will attend four other lutheran churches in the area. In New Castle County the university of delaware is taking steps, hoping to prevent sexual assaults on campus. A task force will make recommendations on how that school can improve Sexual Harassment and assault policies. The commission will review education and Training Programs hold hearings and gather input and conduct online surveys to gauge just how prevalent campus sex assaults have become.
