Moderate showers moving through there and heavier rainfall has been moving through south jersey. But look at delaware. What a contrast. Cloudy skies in new castle. Right now scattered light showers in central delaware. For now, getting the break from the rain. But north and west maybe the greatest concern right now as icy conditions will lead to Hazardous Conditions in upper bucks county this morning and into the pocono mountains further to the north. A windy and wet one today. 39 degrees at 7 00 and temperatures stay above freezing nicely for philadelphia. The i95 corridor and 40 degrees at 9 00 and up to 41 degrees. Not a big warm up, but the right trend as we head into the afternoon. The hourbyhour future weather. Lets check in with jillian. It is a busy morning out there and, once again, stuck on a backup on 95. Youll recall an accident out here and it was a vehicle that spun out blocking the left lane and all lanes were blocked for a period of time and then crews were able to get this delay and all of the drivers that were stuck out here past the scene. Now were hearing that there is also some flooding out there and ponding blocking that left lane. Penndot just got to the scene. As you can see, were dealing with the backup, once again. There on 95. Downed wires on ridge pike right at fairfield road. Thats just one of men problems were dealing with across the area. Southbound side of the boulevard in the inner drive. Go ahead and stick to the outer drive. We also have a number of spots of flooding out there in new jersey. Hamilton township, just to give you an example. Eastbound side of the black horse pike, that is blocked off. Go ahead and stick to route 40 as your aalternate, christine. The noreastser pounding the jersey shore. You can see it here on the radar. Jesse gary is live in North Wildwood. Jesse, i see the conditions have worsened since the last time we checked in with you. If you can tell us whats going on out there. Well, christine, weve changed our Camera Position so now im facing the wind. So, the wind and the rain are blowing right into my face. Ill move out of the way and you can see this is jfk. This is what i wanted to show you. Most people wont go to the beach, but almost everybody will be out riding mass transit or drived top and the wind and the water being whipped across jnk and sand being whipped across the roadway, as well. Water blowing across the roadway and areas where theres pooling or flooding on roadways. You want to be careful and if youre just getting in your vehicle, make sure you do not let go of your door. The winds are so strong that depending on which way the vehicle is parked, it will either whip the door open or slam it closed. If your arm or leg are in that way. I put a call into North Wildwood police to see if they had any problem. Ill update you on that coming up. Katy, where are you and what conditions are like there . Hi, jesse, 309 southbound just reentering Philadelphia County. Right on the border of Montgomery County and Philadelphia County as you can see from that exit marker right there. Bucks county and Montgomery County and what i can tell you is the rain over the last hour lightened up a bit. Not seeing the intense wind that you were just describing as you have at the shore. But i can definitelyp bzv say i wet on the roadways. And its important that drivers go either the speed limit or under. Weve been driving under the speed limit all throughout the morning. Give on the roadway conditions and thats really the safest bet. Weve also been staying a safe distance away from the vehicles in front of us and thats just smart because if you get too close, you get a lot of the mist and the water just thrown up into your view on your windshield, which makes it a little bit more dangerous. When we were in bucks county, we got out of storm force 10 and we could feel the wind had really picked up and the temperatures had dropped. So, i wouldnt be surprised if just over the next few hours theyre dealing with freezing rain instead of just the rain. Right now a little bit of lighter rain were experiencing in Philadelphia County. So, this is a good bl actually, to get on the roads considering what is in store for the rest of the morning. Back to you guys. All right, katy, thanks.
