A congressional medal will be given to them as part of the ceremonies where the plane went down as passengers tried to retake the jet from the hijackers. And in new york thousands gathered at ground zero for a memorial ceremony. There will be a private ceremony of the names of those who decide outside of the plaza. This year for the first time that plaza will be open to the public from 6 00 p. M. Until midnight. And there will also be remembrances where a plane slammed into the pentagon in washington, d. C. , killing 59 people on the plane and 125 military and civilians inside the building. 18 people from bucks county were killed in the terror attacks.
