A house fire in camden leaves four people hurt including two Police Officers. Nbc 10s katy zachry is live in camden where investigators are looking into what caused this fire. Bring us up to speed, katy. Still no word on what caused that fire. It broke out just after 11 00 inside a home. Lets go to our video. The home was vacation but there was one individual inside that home that was injured. The video youre seeing, that individual in the back of an ambulance, hes actually a firefighter. He wasc one of the first responders. Channel 10 was on scene. We were the only crew to get video of the firefighters at the scene. Two Metro Police Officers were treated at the scene. Thats what im hearing now, at the scene for smoke inhalation. Initially we thought they were transported to Cooper UniversityMedical Center. Im told that one firefighter and two Police Officers, all treated for smoke inhalation at the scene. Unfortunately there was an individual, a man, we dont have an age on him but he was inside that home when the fire started. He was pretty severely injure. He was brought hear to Cooper UniversityMedical Center. Hes listed in critical condition. Again, no word on how this fire began. Thats the latest, live in camden, katy zachry, nbc 10 news. 5 02. Also new from overnight, crews put out a fire on a metal alloy plan the. The fire broke out around 12 30 this morning. No ones with hurt. The rittenhouse rape suspect whos now in custody may have victimized another woman prior to saturday mornings assault. Milton garcia is his name. Hes accused of raping a 26yearold woman at her Center City Apartment over the weekend. A second woman is reporting that a man matching garcias description exposed himself to her about an hour before the rape in the same area. Hes charged with rape, robbery, burglary and kidnapping. The man accused of trying to kill a bucs conte Police Officer has a preliminary hearing today. Matthew miller is charged with aemitted murder and other charges. Authorities say earlier this month, miller escaped from a Work Release Program and tried to stab bensalem Police Officer michael jokimski. Today well get a report card on the regions infrastructure. A live look at an important piece of that infrastructure this is where the American Society of Civil Engineers will put out its report on mass transit and other things. Jesse gary is at the Spring Garden bridge. That bridge is supposed to be repaired. Last half hour you gave us an advanced look at the grades given. They werent impressive. Engineers are calling on more and continued action similar to act 89 to fund repairs statewide. Lets take a look another our video. The American Society of Civil Engineers report card finds the entire system is in need of repairs. The society says one in four bridges in pennsylvania structurally deficient. They list several fixes, including keep up momentum from act 89 by passing similar transportation funding packages to fix whats broken or in need of repair. Ensure our infrastructure is resilient and online 99 of the time. And lastly, stop wasting money by wasting time. Doing all of this is not doing any cheaper. The longer we wait to fix our infrastructure, the more its going to cost. This morning, a second bridge investigation is being linked to new jersey governor Chris Christies administration. The Associated Press reports there are questions about how the administration paid for a billion dollar repair of the pulaski skyway bridge connecting newark and jersey city. The report says the feds are looking at whether the funding broke the law by misrepresenting bond documents from the Port Authority of new york and new jersey. All sides have declined comment. Christies administration is being investigated for lane closures at the George Washington bridge. Five minutes after 5 00 now. From our delaware bureau, struggling casinos find out if theyll get a financial boost from delaware lawmakers. State lawmakers will vote on a relief package today. The senate was supposed to take a vote last night but they had to iron out lastminute issues. The casino is hoping that the state will slash the amount of revenue they take from the casinos every year, staying that outofstate competition is herring them. We have a few drivers out there but no big delays to report just yet on 422. We were dealing with emergency construction out there. That has since cleared. The route 30 bypass is looking good and so is route 202 right now. That means more than 150 new jobs but it comes at a loss to burlington county. Remember the massive fire last year destroyed the companys warehouse in delanco . Instead of rebuilding there, the company is moving its operation to the tacony section of philadelphia where it already has a facility. It will expand its headquarters and manufacturing facility which means 158 new jobs in philadelphia in addition to the 700 jobs already at the plant. Officials say the company will be eligible for more than 7 million in public funds. You remember it was in september of last year that the fire destroyed the dietz watson Distribution Center in delanco. More than 100 people who work there were moved to philadelphia. New information this morning on a pair of gun range robberies in philadelphia. Police arrested Jeffrey Chandler in new jersey. Theyd been looking for him for almost two weeks. They say he and another robber held up a man outside a gun range on june 11th. The next day investigators say the same pair shot and robbed a man outside a gun range in northeast philadelphia. Guns were stoleen in both incidents. Officers arrested the second suspect last week. Conditions range from serious to critical and pless say a seventh victim is being cared for by friends and family. Two men got out of an suv and opened fire outside of an apartment building. Police have not made any arrests. This morning, police are looking for a convicted killer who escaped from an arkansas prison, timothy buffington. The escape was caught on video saturday night. He broke into a safe room on prison grounds and took a shotgun. Police say he is armed and dangerous. 5 15. You told us earlier that investigators thought at the time this house was vacant but it turns out there was a man inside. Reporter there was a man inside, chris. This house fire broke out just after 11 00 and an nbc 10 photographer was on scene shortly after. Take a look at this exclusive video he got of the camden firefighter who was injured from smoke inhalation. That camden firefighter was treated for minor injuries in the back of an ambulance. Fortunately he did not need to be transported. Unfortunate unfortunately, two Metro Police Officers did need to be transported to Cooper UniversityMedical Center, treated for minor smoke inhalation. Im told they are doing okay. There was a man inside that home now. First responders said the home was vacant for all intents and purposes. There was an individual living inside that home or just in that home. He was critically injured. He is here at Cooper UniversityMedical Center in critical condition.
