Another earthquake here. Four people are now confirmed dead after a strong earthquake hit the country today. A 7. 3 magnitude quake hit near the town of namche bazar near mt. Everest. Near kathmandu they cant see any damage where they are. It was a big enough quake to scare the living day lights out of everybody living there there. Have been a lot of smaller after shocks since the devastating quake of april 25th. The past few days have been relatively quiet until today. The earthquake on april 25th as you know killed more than 8100 people and injured close to 18,000 leaving hundreds of thousands homeless. This morning Philadelphia Police are reviewing Surveillance Video hoping to find kids who threw chunks of concrete at a school bus. Courtney clancy was hurt by shards of glass. She suffers seizures and has social disorders. Her daughter has been bullied and believes she was targeted. I want them to be found. Thats all i want. Everything to be over. What he did was wrong. Clancy went to the hospital to be treated for her injuries which include cuts to her eyes. Police say they are looking for six kids who probably live near the scene. Today in the Lehigh Valley officials are expected to arraign an allentown woman on new charges after police say she threw her baby off the bridge. Johnesha perry faces criminal homicide in her sons 1yearold death. Zymeir died from Blunt Force Trauma and drowning. She threw her baby off the bridge on hamilton street and jumped herself. Rescuers tried to save perry and the baby but he died at the hospital a week later. Police interviewed witnesses and miss perry. Miss perry stated that she threw herself off the bridge and intended to kill him. Johnesha perry is locked up without bail. A new jersey woman accused of setting her newborn on fire and leaving her in the middle of the road in Burlington County has pleaded not guilty. Kimberly dorvelier doused her baby girl with accelerant and sat her on fire. The womans public defender says she plans to plead not guilty by reason of insanity or by diminished capacity. Neighbors found the baby and the baby died at the hospital. Theyre approving a bill legalizing certain medical marijuana products. The senate amended the bill to include patients suffering from clone crohns disease, diabetes and they can prescribe it through oil extracts and vapors. 4 35. Two months after starting foot patrols in high crime areas, the Wilmington Police department is now asking Community Members for feedback on how things are going. Tonight two meetings are scheduled to give wilmington residents a chance to voice their opinions. They patrol certain neighborhoods from 6 00 at night to 1 00 in the morning. The farmers in new jersey are taking the brunt of this lack of rainfall if you will. The sandy soil needs water. This is the time to plant sweet corn and towmatoes. Farmers are not planting as much as theyd like or theyre using their own water and a lot of it to keep the crops going. They say its tough to keeping the plants alive. And the problem is very critical he tells me. New jersey saw rainfall at more than an inch below normal for the month of april and its been weeks since a heavy downpour. Some of the farmers tell me that the concern at this point is that if we do get a big dousing rainfall, that its just going to run off and the ground is just so dry it cannot absorb it. The Transportation Department has received 55 more complaints in march of this year than last year mainly because of flight problems. Southwest had the least number of complaints. A Spirit Airlines flight out of Atlantic City international was delayed over the weekend first because of bad weather. Its the second issue that passengers found the most disturbing. They say a gate agent told them that there were no tsa agents on duty to process the pilots and let them onto the plane so the flight was delayed. It was supposed to leave at 5 00. The passengers didnt board until 8 00 and then they had to wait another hour for the pilots. How can Atlantic City airport be without a tsa presence while there are still people there . In a statement spirit explained that its pilot and first officer were delayed by weather on the prior flight and the airline said tsa had closed operations but reopened at spirits request and the crew was able to make the flight.
