Chris . Back to this breaking news now. A Philadelphia Police officer was hurt on his way to a call this morning. A car collided with a patrol vehicle at an intersection. Matt delucia is live for us there on scene in southWest Philadelphia. Matt youve been working on police to give you more information since we heard from you about a half hour ago, right . Within the past 30 minutes i learned the officer was responding to a call for a woman screaming just before 3 00 when this crash happened. Now im told that the officer in the suv was going north here on 58th street. This white car you see here was coming west and that is when the car tboned that police suv and they came to rest where you see them there in the distance. Of course, you can also see that police are out here at the scene. Take a look the at video from a short time ago, accident investigators have been out here for much of this morning taking pictures of the scene, marking the area and at this point its still unclear who had the red light but a im told the officer did have emergency lights op at the time. The crash hard enough to send the police suv into a light pole knocking down a traffic light. The officer were told injured his hand and may have a concussion. Three people in the other car, including a child. And they were taken to the hospital as well for observation. The injuries to all are not considered to be life threatening. Well come back live on the scene once again. Just within the past few minutes they reopened the stretch of woodland avenue here at 58th street, but 58th is still blocked off. So a little bit more traffic is moving through this intersection than what we saw about 30 minutes ago. Still a lot more to clean up. Behind that white car there you can see you cant see from this Vantage Point but the traffic light is knocked down. Theres still debris on the roadway and sidewalk. Also this morning, oklahoma,s governor is preparing to declare a state of emergency there. Check out the damage in oklahoma city. The twisters destroyed parts of a hotel and flattened a selfstorage facility. Another part of oklahoma at least 12 people were hurt in a mobile home park. Were working to get new video from that scene. The storms brought heavy rain a flash flood emergency is in effect there this morning and then this new video into nbc 10 of a funnel cloud caught on camera that touched down in nebraska. See the tornado cross the road and blow through an open field. Nebraska officials report minor injuries and damage from several tornados that hit that state. 4 34. On to a developing story, police are still searching for a teen robbery suspect who escaped from a moving car in West Philadelphia last night. Police say a private Prisoner Transport Company was taking 16yearold hasheem singletary to the Police Station last night when he jumped out of the back of the car at 55th and cedar. Hes the suspect in two gunpoint robberies that happened in University City in february. Now when singletary escaped he had his hands cuffed in front of him and was wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, black pants with a dark blue stripe down the side and blue shoes. If you see him call police. Jury deliberations begin today in the corruption trial of six former philadelphia narcotics officers. Only one of the accused officers took the stand during the trial. He denied charges that his squad regularly stole cash and drugs from suspects over a period of six years. Prosecutors built their case on the testimony of suspected drug dealers and one exofficer who pleaded guilty. On to this video now of a Training Exercise on a Burlington County military base that has a lot of people talking. In case you havent seen it or if you want to keep going. State officials will join the army corps of engineers to kick off the project later this morning. New information this morning, the university has hired a law firm to investigate the schools purchase of the shutter showed boat casino. The university approved a 350,000 contract with the law firm. Stockton bought the property intending to hold classes there but then a legal dispute the site only be used as a hotel. The District Attorney says the therapist earned the Victims Trust over a number of appointments and then assaulted her. Dieter worked as a massage theater at pathway to healing in lancaster county. Officials are offering a 10,000 reward in connection with a shooting that put a 7yearold girl in the hospital.
