Reporter well tracy, we talked with police out there the morning and in touch with doctors at the students bedside and were told shes on life support here at Temple University hospital. Regarding the investigation, police say there have been hey positive update. This is video that we got from overnight. Police found the silver midst Mitsubishi Gallant that had hit. The student left unconscious on the pavement with a broken leg. Police sate 22yearold was on her bike. She was riding it near the intersection of park avenue and diamond. A witness heard Police Inside the carteling the driver to speed away. Its unknown whether or not this 22yearold female is going to survive theseinjures. It could happen to anybody. Reporter its understandable how scary this is for students. With ohm students around that intersection. Many of them on bikes it really hit home for the temple community. Police are looking for three teenagers believed to be inside that car. Also breaking katy and the photographer were on their way to north philadelphia when they saw this a house on fire in hunting park. The flames broke out inside a vacant home around 3 00 this morning. Firefighters had it all under control. No one was hurt and no word on what caused it. The time is 4 34 police plan to make more arrests today on this platform on the septa platform. Four warrants were issued yesterday for four students. They made one arrest yesterday. And a man is being sentenced for a traffic crash that killed a 9yearold. A jury convicted howard leappy. Prosecutors say they liepe was driving drunk. Crash killed ryan shyler and left his friend paralyzed from waist down. Its a more peaceful protest in baltimore but it spread to other cities. After the arrest of 16 people during peaceful protests and marches leading up to the 10 00 p. M. Curfew. A few minutes after the curfew only a couple dozen people remained on the scene on mondays riot. Protesters took to the streets in other cities as well including denver where Police Arrested nine people and had to use pep are spray during the demonstration. The demonstrators held a march in solidarity. Meantime in new york hundreds of people marched calling for justice in the death of freddie gray in baltimore. Police arrested more than 100 people there. Here at home in philadelphia. Philadelphia courts are closing early because of a possible protest in center city. This morning, a former leader at a philadelphia nonprofit is facing indictment. A grand jury indicted griffin on charges of wire fraud. Federal Officials Say she with drew tens of thousands of dollars from the Neighborhood Commission while executive director. According to investigators she spent that money on herself. The group she worked with helped people with all sort of housing issues. Were out here struggling. Look at this park. My kids play in this park. Griffin retired from her position within the past two years. A new jersey student is accused of trying to poison her teacher. Solution the police say the boy put in her drink. Its draft day. Officials fired the bus driver and the school aide. The driver is not a district employee. In Delaware County, police are looking for this manning who they believe is vandalizing. And weve got some breaking news here just in from gloucester county. Police are now on the scene of a home in deptford township. Where a woman was stabbed. Someone called police. Not clear who called them. Police have no suspects and theyre not sure why the woman was stabbed. No word on her condition either.
