The good news is were not reporting any accidents out there at all. Drive time on area roads are looking good as well. Blue ridge is 18 minutes in both directions between 95 and 76. You can see 422 is also pretty quiet. Drupe tument there drive time is it about seven minutes. This is quiet right now. Were not reporting any delays as a result of any area construction. Bridges are in the clear. The big story as far as traffic goes are the wet roads. 433. Crews in New Castle County will pour concrete for the bases of the now closed i495 bridge. The concrete bases will support steel beams under the north side of the bridge. The bridge as you know has been shut down for about a month after its support columns began to tilt. They hope to have the bridge reopened by the end of the summer. It is 4 33. Happening later today, the man who stole a police car and led officers on a chase from new jersey to philadelphia will be sentenced. Blake bills is his name. He pleaded guilty to charjackin. Now Police Arrested bills and his girlfriend in philadelphia in march of 2013. Here is video of the chase and capture. Bill has stolen a cam den police car, hit an officer and crossed a bridge before the couple was caught. Bills girlfriend who is still awaiting trial in new jersey. Shes already been sentenced to three to eight years in prison in pennsylvania. Now to a story we brought you with breaking news last night at 11 00. A 2 cigarette tax that will fund the Philadelphia School district cleared a major hurdle in harrisburg. The house passed the bill. Inland though, temperatures back into the 90s this afternoon. Well be watching the skies later today for another round of showers and thunderstorms. This morning, the storminess is to our north and east. The storms will take a break. Just a few showers popping up in virginia and possibility of a few scattered showers during the day. I think most of the activity is going to hold off until late this afternoon and this evening. That will give temperatures a chance to heat up. By 9 00 this morning, low 80s for philadelphia. An isolated shower is possible with clouds moving through. And then we get breaks of sunshine. So another hot and humid one. 84 degrees for the pocono mountains. Near 90 for reading and quakertown. Watch out for late day showers and thunderstorms. That is a threat for trenton and mt. Holly. Temperatures back in the low 80s for the jersey shore and delaware beaches. 83 for cape mae and atlantic city. Inland, dover, up to 93 degrees this afternoon. Well be watching for afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms that could turn severe for wilmington, chester and philadelphia. This morning the son and grandson of a Montgomery County man are both charged in his death. David st. Onge sr. Is charged with murder. His son is charged with conspiring to dispose of a body. The remains after a man were found in the tarp. Police tell us david onge sr. Admitted he hit his father in the head. In philadelphia, we have a picture of that daycare worker accused of leaving five children in an suv while she went food shopping. Police released this picture of the 39yearold woman. She is charged with child endanger. And reckless endanger. She left the children for at least 20 minutes while she was inside a shop rite on tuesday. The air conditioner was on in the suv. The children were rescued and then reunited with their parents. Happening today, the georgia father accused of killing his toddler son by leaving him in a hot car will appear in court. He faces charges of murder and Second Degree child cruelty. Today he has a probable cause hearing. Now the 22 mold boy cooper died last month after spending hours in the hot suv. He told police he forgot the boy was strapped in the car seat and forgot to drop him off the adaycare when he went to work. A Police Officer in indiana has been suspended for pushing a paraplegic man in a wheelchair. Take a look at. This Nicholas Kinkaid runs over the officers foot and then thrown to the ground by that offense. This took place outside a school last october after he told cops he had a gun. He was unarmed, however, he was arrested for battery. The charge was thrown out. Inspectors are looking into what caused a section of facade to fall from the Brooklyn Bridge in new york city. A 25 foot section of the underpassed collapsed around 8 00 last night during a thunderstorm. Five people were injured. All of those injuries were minor. Now our attention turns to showers over virginia which could be popping up during the afternoon and late this afternoon that is even more likely. And heres arthur. Look at the eye forming there. A nice round view. That is the radar view. It shows heavy rain just off shore. Arthur has winds of 70 Miles Per Hour. It is moving to the north. A little faster now at 8 miles an hour. Likely to impact the carolina coast. Late today well see this storm turn into a hurricane. By 8 00 this evening, storms will push to the northeast. Kind of take a right turn and move more northeast. That will take it off shore of our area which could provide our area with rip current threats right on through the weekend. For today, we will see the temperatures soar. 78 degrees to start with at 6 00 this morning. The clouds will thin out. Still an isolated shower or threat at 9 00 this morning. And then the storms will take a break for most of the day. But the temperatures will not. So the forecast is calling for temperatures to climb to near 90 degrees. Trenton will be in the low 90s this afternoon along with philadelphia and mt. Holly and along the coastline. Lower to middle 80s. New video that shows exactly how a deadly fire started at the Mariners Cove motel in Point Pleasant beach. The man there in the video was high on heroin when he passed out on a couch with a lit cigarette. You see the flames erupting there. The fire killed four people inside that motel including the man. In burks county, an off duty Police Officer will not face charges in a road rage shooting. But the man he shot will. The District Attorney says ryan broth used justified force in that shooting last month. The officer used his personal weapon to shoot one of several men inside a car after the initial road rage incident. That man is now facing charges including simple assault and dui. Police are hoping you may have some information about the man here who robbed their rite aid in east falls neighborhood. He took a bottle of laundry detergent last month.
