Shes going to update us on the search for suspected killer brad stone. Hes wanted for killing six people, including his exwife and five family members. The lone survive, a 17yearold boy who remains at Jefferson Hospital. Lets listen in. Im going to give you as much information as i possibly can considering this is a very dynamic and fluid investigation but we will endeavor to share as much information as possible. Before we start, i want to make a few introductions for the benefit of those of you who dont know my team. We have a number of local representatives from state police and agencies. To my far left is chief county detective stan gallon. Next to him from the federal bureau of investigation, joe bushner. Next is police chief todd nedwood. Solderton police chief jim leery from lanceville the police receive. And from the Pennsylvania StatePolice Captain jim rakowitz. The first thing i want to share with you all and with the community youre broadcasting out to is our thanks. The past day and a half has been its been extremely harrowing. Its been very challenging for us in the community. And for our Law Enforcement officers. Its been its been important for us to get information out to the public and youve helped us do that very seamlessly. So i want to thank you for that. And we also want to thank the members of our Community Across three different towns four different towns yesterday. They were inundated with Law Enforcement officers in a very significant operation. We got extreme cooperation and courtesy from our community. They were extremely helpful at all points during the day. And that has been much appreciated by all of us. I also want you to know during the course of our efforts, we have been in touch consistently with our local schools. As this event has unfolded and as weve been conducting the search of primary concern to us is the safety of our kids in their schools. And weve worked closely with the School Districts to make sure theyre with the children there. Let me first give you an update on the survivor. You heard me talk yesterday about 17yearold anthony flick. He is in the hospital. He is in very serious but stable condition. He is with other family members right now. I cannot emphasize how serious his condition is. But at least at this point, we are hopeful that he will be fine. And you also are aware that mr. Stone had a wife and infant child they are secure as well as his two daughters, his 8 and 5yearold daughters. They are safe and secure. I think thats important to share with everyone. You can see from the assembly behind me. This is a collaborative Law Enforcement effort from Montgomery County and southeastern pennsylvania. We have teams working from many different agencies. Im going to highlight them and just thank them while were here. From our local police department, we have lansdale police, solderton, and perkiomen district and Doylestown Police departments. We also received incredible support from many of our local fire and police both in montgomery and bucks county. Were very appreciative of their support and effort. Our s. W. A. T. Teams have been out nonstop from Montgomery County. Abington s. W. A. T. , central Montgomery County s. W. A. T. Cheltenham s. W. A. T. , eastern Montgomery County, lower merion all working to try to locate this fugitive. From our countys office, the District Attorneys office, the detectives bureau, the Sheriffs Department has been helpful and working with the department of Public Safety they have been helpful as well. Yesterday, the bucks county District Attorneys office in support of our efforts. The Pennsylvania State police and our federal counterparts, atf, fbi and u. S. Marshals have all been working with us on this case. So let me just say, we are accessing every possible resource. And we are utilizing every possible Law Enforcement tool to find mr. Stone. We will find mr. Stone. Last night, we continued our searches in locations he was known to frequent. Places that we thought he might be secreting himself. As you know, we followed up on leads in bucks county. At this moment, it appears that those leads were not valid. And so we have discontinued following up on those right now. If anything new comes up, we will continue to pursue it. Last night we searched his forensic evidence, his car, his home, and we were able to find evidence of value there. And yesterday began the very harrowing process of conducting six autopsies which continues into today. So those are not complete. Today, we have multijurisdictional teams standing out in Montgomery County. And in particular, the northwestern part of the county where the suspect is known to reside and frequent. We obviously have an active Homicide Investigation and we have a search for a suspect. And primarily right now, with the suspect on the loose, ensuring the safety of the community. If you look around the room, there are new photographs we have for you, theyre on the board. Theyll be provided for you electronically. That is the most recent if you look to the left, thats the most recent photograph that we have of the smuspect with the beard and mustache. That was taken november 2014. We recovered that from the right. Its been digitally modified. We he did shave a few days ago. The image on the right is mostly what he would look like now. What wed ask you to do, distribute that as widely as you can. Through pennsylvania and the fbi, we ask you to share it as widely as you possibly can. Mr. Stone could still be in the area, he could be elsewhere. Thats why we think its important that we distribute this image broadly. We want everyone to have access to the image so if you see him, we can track him down. Now, we know these particular attacks were targeted towards individual folks with him. And i dont want our community to be alarmed, but i think its important to note that while the specific victims that were dealing with were individuals close to him, members of his family, in a situation like this, where someone is on the run, there could certainly be a risk to others. And so we ask our community and all of those who might hear about this to be observant. I do not want to alarm anyone i do not want to overstate a threat at all. I simply ask that they be observant and cautious. If you see something, call 911, call the police. I would ask that people not try to stop mr. Stone if they do see him. He should be considered armed and dangerous. We know he has access to firearms, as well as cutting instruments. I would not anyone to jeopardize their had safety by trying to stop him themselves. At this point, folks, thats what we have for you. This is a fluid Homicide Investigation. Things are changing as we go. And so im not going to take questions right now. I know there are many issues and questions that you have because at this point, we have not yet filed charges, we need to be mindful of the legal restriction thats we have in releasing information. If there are particular questions that you have that you are hoping you might be able to answer at a future briefing, i would ask you that direct them privately offline to the Public Safety department, hes to the side.
