Salaries have not changed, and the src says this action will d redirect 48. 3 million to district schools and save 100 million over the next four hours. The School District is facing a 71 million deficit for the next school year and both the chair and superintendent contend this will help. I asked chairman bill green why this happened now. We treated it as in addition to an action meeting a litigation and generally speaking in litigation you dont announce that youre filing a lawsuit. I regret that we have reached this point. I sincerely hope we have reached a different outcome for the sake of our children, administrators, especially our families across the city. We dont want to go through a year like we did last year. We want to provide and get these resources into schools so that they are able to support our children as quickly as possible. Reporter yeah, this was a pretty tense meeting. Parents and teachers say they werent notified about it. Only a small mention in yesterdays inquirer. We werent notified until this morning. Teachers werent allowed to speak until after the vote was taken. I wanted to speak on that resolution. How am i going to do that when they already passed the resolution. The people in the city do not want this anymore. If they werent sure before, they know it now. Reporter one person yelled out shame after the meeting was adjourned. Only a few dozen people were in attendance. I spoke with an education activist here who is very vocal about this decision. Hospital Officials Say the cdc determined the likelihood of this child having ebola is extremely low, so it will not run tests. More than two dozen bodies were found at a hidden grave in mexico at the site where Police Clashed with student protesters last week. Prosecutors say the 28 bodies found at the site are too damaged to make an immediate identification. 43 College Students were missing after the confrontation with police. It was about 120 miles south of mexico city. Authorities arent saying yet if the recently discovered bodies are those of the missing students. Prosecutors say genetic testing to identify the bodies could take anywhere from two weeks to two months. Opening statements are scheduled for today in the trial against a friend of Boston Marathon bombing suspect dzhokhar tsarnaev. The man is accused of lying to authorities about being in tsarnaevs dorm room when two other friends removed potential evidence. Tsarnaev is awaiting trial on dozens of federal charges. Coface the Death Penalty if convicted. Three people died and more than 250 others were injured in the Boston Marathon bombing attack. A newly released indictment reveals just how far a group of philadelphia iron workers are accused of doing to get work. The defendants from iron workers local 401 are accused of using threats and violence to force contractors to hire union members. Theyre accused of setting a fire at a Quaker Meeting House just a few days before christmas in 2012. The indictment also says the group slashed tires, grabbed rivals by the throat, and blockaded work sites. 8 of 12 philadelphia iron workers have pleaded guilty. My fiancee and i were getting engaged up there, and next thing you know the balloon was veering off towards the water, and we were going to get back to land. We were going straight down. No matter what the pilot tried, couldnt go back this way. Reporter the pilot says in his 12 years of flying, this was a first. Im a retired marine. We have been in tough situations before. A lot of those skills are transferrable. Reporter the basket took several waves and with the help of lifeguards and surfers, the balloon made it back to shore and no one was hurt. Nice bow tie, by the way. Weve got some beautiful weather out there. It was great looking yesterday, but it was very chilly. Were not nearly as cold today. We are tracking some showers as early as tonight and some more cool weather coming before the week is out. A lot of sunshine out there. At the moment 66 degrees. That southerly wind bringing in that warmer air. Its 11 degrees warmer than it was at this time yesterday, and you can see the temperatures have been fairly close to average except for yesterday. Only 61 degrees. Go a little bit above average over the next couple of days, but were not going to be seeing anything close to 80 degrees this week. You can see it warming into the 60s in much of the area. 52 in mount pocono. We had many places well down in the 30s this morning, and look how cold it is back into the midwest. Only 41 degrees in minneapolis and even below freezing just north of the border. So a little bit more of that air will be coming in here before the week is out. Just some patchy clouds, generally well to the north and west. Thats very weak as you can see. This is a little more substantial. Could bring a couple showers later on tonight, but certainly nothing this afternoon. Theres 4 00 future cast, and then as we go hour by hour through the evening, you dont see anything close by even by 7 00, but as we get toward midnight, yeah, there are some showers around, and we could get wet at least for a little bit tonight. But by tomorrow morning, that thing is already gone. Now we wait for a Second System to come in. That would be for tuesday night, and that could be a little bit heavier, but not everybody getting rain out of that. Now were going to be seeing a lot of sunshine during the day today. Highs getting into the low 70s. The average high is 70 now. So were really cooling off, and that southerly wind bringing in the warmer air. Sevenday forecast, the showers generally tomorrow night, remember this is a chance of a few after midnight tonight, a little bit more tuesday night into early wednesday morning, then the temperature starts going down a bit, and weve got some chilly weather as we head toward the end of the week and next weekend with some rain that is going to be mostly to our south and were just going to watch and see if it sneaks up this way by sunday.
