If confirmed by the centers for Disease Control, this would be the first transmission of ebola in the u. S. The Texas Department of health says the worker cared for Thomas Duncan, seen here. Hes the first patient ever diagnosed in this country. He died on wednesday. Within the past 30 minutes, hospital officials held a News Conference explaining that they did have a process in place after duncan was admitted to the hospital. A system of monitoring, quarantine and isolation was established to protect those who cared for mr. Duncan as well as the community at large by identifying any potential ebola cases as early as possible and getting those individuals into treatment immediately. Officials say the worker reported a lowgrade fever on friday night and was in an Isolation Unit at the hospital less than 90 minutes after that. Also according to the officials, the workers condition is stable right now. We will keep you posted on this. Customs agents are using notouch thermometers to take the temperatures of passengers from liberia, sierra leone and guinea. Witnesses told police that a young boy was behind the wheel of this white sedan when he hit another car. He then allegedly rammed into a parked car and nearly plowed into an apartment building. Police are still looking for the boy who ran from the scene along with several passengers. A woman inside the other car was taken to the hospital with only minor injuries. Another underage driver in Lehigh County is accused of stealing a car, then crashing and fleeing from police. The crash happened around 11 00 yesterday morning at the intersection of airport road and race street. Police located the 14yearold driver and the car just before 2 00 yesterday afternoon at bridge and front streets. They tried to speak with him, but police say that he took off and crashed into a building before they finally arrested him.
