The bensalemc Township Police department and District Attorneys Office say they have yet to make a decision about whether any charges may be warranted against that 18yearold driver. Live in bensalem, doug shimell, nbc 10 news. Students were brought in for questioning, Philadelphia Police want to know how a student got a gun inside. Administrators learned about the gun from a student who saw one of his friends showing off the. 38 revolver. They put the school on lockdown while a s. W. A. T. Team searched every locker and every classroom. We recovered a gun in a trash can inside the school. We also have one 18yearold male in custody who possessed the gun. Police say that 18yearold will be charged. The gun was found in the schools weight room. It was not loaded. Delaware county doctor is behind bars tonight accused of running a pill mill out of his home. Dr. Lawrence wean is accused of writing prescriptions for cash. His arrest comes after a threemonthlong investigation by undercover agent. Delaware countys District Attorney says wean not only wrote prescriptions for people who didnt need them but filed paperwork with Insurance Companies for Office Visits that never happened. Kids are becoming addicted and dying as a result of what doctor wean and other doctors are doing and it must be stopped. Doctor wean is in jail on a 500,000 bond. New at 6 00, the athletic directioner at the center of a sex assault and hazing investigation at a north Jersey High School is off the job. The sayreville board of education voted last night to suspend the schools Athletic Director with pay. Seven players from Sayreville High School are accused of hazing and assaulting four teammates earlier this year. Tonight, the nbc 10 investigators are learning new information about the former Colwyn Police officer accused of killing his exgirlfriend. Theres conflicting information as to whether officer Stephen Rozniakowski was on desk duty before he allegedly shot and killed valerie morrow. Harry hairston has been following the officers criminal record for months. Harry, what have you learned tonight . Reporter weve had information that shows officer rozniakowski was working the street as opposed to being on desk duty and what was recently reported by officials here. Before we get to that, i do want to tell you what the mood of this town seems to be like after talking to some about that tragedy monday night. When i talked to people here, they tell me, a pfa alone just isnt good enough. Just because you get a protection from abuse order doesnt mean that, you know, youre safe. Reporter case in point, the tragic murder of valerie morrow, shot to death monday night inside her own home. Police say it was former Police Officer Stephen Rozniakowski who shot her and her teenage daughter. Morrow and rozniakowski had been in a relationship. Thisc woman believes Colwyn Police are lax when it comes to responding to domestic issues. Around here they dont do anything anyway. They dont even handle their jobs around here. The police chief nor any other men on council have respect for women anyway. Reporter plymouth Township Police charged rozniakowski with 75 counts of stalking another woman. His trial was scheduled for tomorrow. The police chief told me months ago rozniakowski was on desk duty. But these parking violations obtained by the nbc 10 investigators rozniakowski was actually working on the streets during the Early Morning hours. As i take a look at some of the copies i do have of the parking violations, those hours were around 1 48, almost 2 00 in some cases. Indicating instead of being at desk duty without a weapon, he was having his weapon on the streets, working the streets at that time. We reached out to the mayor and the police chief for comment but we have not heard back from them. Reporting live in colwyn, harry hairston, nbc 10 news. Now to new information about the death of Montgomery County killer brad stone. The coroner says he did not stab himself to death as originally reported yesterday by the District Attorney. Sources tell nbc 10 there were two medicine bottles found by his body. One had crushed powder. There was also an energy drink container with powder around the lip, those sources tell us. Stone killed his exwife and five of her relatives on monday. Police found stones body yesterday and his cause of death is still under investigation. Toxicology results will take about a week. Now to new information on a deadly accident that claimed the lives of three Council Rock High School Students over the summer. The man allowing an unlicensed driver to say an suv was charged today. He was charged in wane county. These three teens died in the crash. The 15yearold girl enbehind the wheel lost control of the suv trying to get around a curve. Ten penndot workers, including two former managers, are facing charges tonight in an alleged scheme to rip off taxpayers. Nine of them faced a judge today in bridgeport, Montgomery County. Authorities say the alleged scheme cost taxpayers 1. 2 million. They say it involved overbilling and kickbacks and thrived on nepotism and cronyism. In this case, every door weve opened has led to at least two other two or three other doors. We are nowhere close to being done. Each of the workers arrested today faces up to ten years in prison. Now to the casino crisis in atlantic city, today a new jersey assemblyman unveiled a new plan to keep the city and its casinos alive. Republican chris brown wants to freeze the citys taxes for five years and ease county taxes. The plan would increase county taxes on Property Owners by 9 pennsylvanias governorelect will be in philadelphia tomorrow. Tom wolf will visit the free library. Hell be there to discuss pennsylvanias fiscal situation. Wolf will inherit a nearly 2 billion budget shortfall when hes sworn in as governor next month. Pennsylvania governor tom corbett is talking about his future after he leaves office in a few weeks. The republican governor told the Associated Press he would consider working with a president ial candidate for 2016. Corbett didnt say which possible candidate hed prefer to work with. Those hackers made a threat against Christmas Day sony movie the interview. The security concerns forced the media join the to pull the movie all together. Sonys decision comes hours after major Movie Theater chains pulled the movie including carmike, regal, amc and cinemark theaters. We have reaction about this move. But after anonymous threats by onlike hackers, theatersc acro the country are cancelling their showing like here at the carmike theater in reading. It would be for safety sake. Reporter carmike was the first to cancel, then amc, regal and cinemark do so as well. Sony then decided to pull the plug entirely, the film will not be released. This week the hackers sent a message to reporters across the country warning that any theater that plays the film could be attacked, writing in part the world will be full of fear. A new report from the state Education Department finds Public Schools became safer last year with fewer instances of violence or drug abuse. This year theyre planning a second parade, good oldfashioned strutting music. Thats what welove to hear as the mummers announced today theyll march down main street in manayunk in february. City first sponsored the parade on new years day 1901. Possible 27 for allentown, 28 possibly for the morning low temperature in quakertown. A colder start to your morning. In doylestown and norristown, 27 degrees. Cape may, atlantic city, maybe the upper 20s in vineland, low 30s in dover and philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs, temperatures should be at or below freezing. So it will be a colder start to your morning tomorrow. But we will be staying dry through the day. Colder than today through the afternoon. But more sunshine than today as well. The winds will still be up, too. We stay dry wednesday through friday. Tonight through friday i should say. This willc carry over into the start of the weekend. As we go into friday evening well be watching that area of low pressure in the gulf of mexico. It should be developing and moving across into the eastern seaboard. But it does look to stay farther to our south. Now we go into sunday. Big area of High Pressure forming to our north. Should be blocking this from moving very far to our north as well.
