Now, police say 52yearold donna krupp intentionally started the fire while the officer and his family were away on vacation in disney world, according to court documents, the arson appears to be a culmination of six months worth of resentiment. Police say that krupp blamed detective ernie morris for her sons arrest in june. Now, although detective morris was not involved in that case, investigators say that krupp was convinced that he told state police where to find her son when he was wanted from fleeing from the police. Krupp was so angry, police say she went over to the officers home yesterday, saw the house, the decorations on it and then lit it with a grilltype lighter before walking away to her own home. Tonight we spoke with other neighbors who are completely stunned. Anybody that could set someones house on fire and recent everything theyve ever owned, killing the cat hurts my heart. Thats the real killer for me. I just you know, its indescribable. Reporter were told the detective had recently installed a Surveillance System here at his home because police say that krupp had been really harassing the family for a really long time. Thosec cameras were the key to solving this case, according to police, because the cameras captured krupp, again, setting the home on fire. M. , apparently during some sort of fight outside the spruce avenue home where he lived. Sigels brotherinlaw, 22yearold Umar Salahuddin was already injured but not shot during the incident. Authorities say salahuddin who faces drug and weapons charges after an arrest this summer has provided little insight on what went down today or who else was involved. These demonstrations became a teaching tool for students today. Yes, keith. Teachers and administrators encouraging these students to talk about these issues openly and exercisec their First Amendment rights. Hundreds of students from all across philadelphia participated in these protests today. All of them very concerned about alleged police brutality. On most days, the hallways in philadelphia high schools are loud and bustling but for 4 1 2 minutes this afternoon, complete silence. Students staging a diein, lying on the ground to symbolize the deaths of two black men killed by police. Letting Police Officers go after they commit crimes, that just needs to be examined more and Police Officers should be treated like regular citizens and not above the law. I cant breathe reporter protesting for eric garner, the statin island man who died after a Police Officer put him in a chokehold. And across town at masterman high, students believe the Justice System also failed in ferguson, missouri. Everyone feels that its very unjust. We realize its not going to take a bunch of people with sad feelings to make a change. We want to take more protesting, activism, leaders. Reporter throughout these protests, young people have made up the core movement. For them, this is a civil rights issue. They believe police often abuse powers with be usually against young black men. This could have been me. That could be me tomorrow whether im doing something wrong or not. So it really, you know, its something that im conscious of now, things honestly need to change. Reporter students, too, say they respect Law Enforcement but often feel targeted, especially as a black male teenager in a large american city. I definitely think there are police that dont think that black lives matter. I think its more important that people are aware that all police arent like that. Reporter students tell me they dont want to riot. They dont want a violent confrontation with police. They want to openly discuss these issues with Law Enforcement and the city of philadelphia. We are clearly a long way from the ultimate goal but as parents, teachers, students and community leaders, we have the ability and the moral responsibility to take the initial first steps. Now, the live radar showing actually a smaller area of the freezing rain than what we saw 15 minutes ago, meaning temperatures are going up a little bit. But theres more rain back to the west. Its coming in to much of the area as you can see. Think there will be more hours of rain in our pennsylvania counties and in delaware counties. Its kind of exaggerated by this future cast which mysteriously seems to let it try to dry up during the night tonight. Doesnt look like thats really going to happen. Well see less rain tomorrow morning than tomorrow afternoon. Thats when its really going to build up and be the heaviest later in the day and into the evening hours. The yellows and oranges indicating some of the heavy rain as you see. Then late tomorrow night, it moves out, leaving us a dry day on sunday. That storm will be moving offshore and as weve been saying for days, its going to be stalling and then coming back as a noreaster. Thats going to bring the rain with it. Its going to bring the winds with it, maybe some coastal flooding. On the backside of it could change over to snow on wednesday in part of the area at least. For tonight, periods of rain with temperatures Holding Steady above the freezing mark. Thats the important point. And tomorrow, a rainy day, especially in the afternoon and into the evening.
