Police tell us that one person was shot late last night at 2nd and grape streets. When our crew got there, police had an area taped off and their investigation seemed to focus on this car. We spoke with one neighbor who tells us that the area has seen a recent increase in violence. I definitely live right here and a lot of this gun, you know shooting, one another has been going on a lot here in vineland. Vineland never used to be like this. Theres no word right now on the condition of the shooting victim. We will bring you new information on this breaking news story as soon as we get it. Today, the community will come together to remember Philadelphia Police officer, Robert Wilson when died in the line duty trying to send off two robbers. Both subjects are facing firstdegree murder and attempted robbery charges. Ramon wilson and Carlton Hipps are brothers. Hipps was wounded in the shootout with officer wilson. This morning he remains in the hospital, still wearing officer wilsons handcuffs. Jesse gary is live in north philadelphia where just a few hours from now, many will gather at a Church Service for the slain officers. Reporter i spoke with reverend Steven Thorne about this Remembrance Service that hes holding, unofficial. Youve got to remember that officer wilson did not attend this church and the reverend didnt know him. Still, the reverend says he lives in this community, the church is part of the community, and this slaying has definitely touched this community. Yesterday, nbc 10 was the first station to talk to the slain officers family and neighbors in West Philadelphia. His grandmother, Constance Wilson showed us citations, diplomas, awards that covered a wall inside her home. She says her grandson whos been with her since the age of 2, she affectionately calls him robbie. She says he was a good man and a committed father. Robbie is hes a fun guy. He loves life. Hes just nice. Hes just a nice guy. If he came to you and met you, he would probably hug you. Hi, and give you a kiss you know . He was always that type of person. Hes just a good guy. At noon theres a peace rally near the shooting scene, and ministers from surrounding churches in the 22nd and 39th Police Districts will gather outside the 22nd and pray for officers in that district who lost one of their own. We first told you about this yesterday morning. Witnesses heard gunshots as the fight at 2nd and market streets was breaking up. They say that the men jumped into a car to get away from the gunfire. Police saw that car turn the wrong way on to chestnut street. According to investigators, the driver was approaching the officers there, so the officers started shooting at the car. The car then crashed into a fence. The two officers are on administrative duty while internal affairs investigates. Police say the driver will be charged with reckless driving. One person is in the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, was police still do not know and have not confirmed exactly who shot the man. This morning, Philadelphia Police are looking for two armed men who robbed a Grocery Store in the olney section of the city. The bandits attacked two employees working at the lien phong food market last night. A woman was injured and was taken to the hospital. Were working to find more on her condition. Now to news from our jersey shore bureau, police in Atlantic County are trying to figure out how two people died. Their bodies were discovered inside a room at the best western in west horse pike in pleasantville. Medical workers tried to revive them, but they were unsuccessful. Later today, the search will resume for a missing teen from delaware county. Some 200 volunteers spanned out yesterday to look for 13yearold cayman naib. His family says that he left his house in Newtown Square on wednesday and never came home. Searchers went door to door yesterday, asking folks if they had seen anybody matching caymans description. According to police at this point, there are no signs of foul play in his disappearance. Another 13yearold from our area is missing. The reward for an arrest in a deadly hitandrun that killed a philadelphia woman has now reached 10,000. Happy birthday dear teresa last night, teresa poseys family and friends held a vigil on what would have been her 34th birthday. Pozi was killed crossing state road in hopelessberg just two days before christmas this past year. Investigators say that she was hit by a tow truck and the driver never stopped. Surveillance video captured the truck speeding down the road. Another 5,500 was added to the reward for an arrest before the end of this month. Now they say he never actually pulled the trigger, was pointed a gun at the officers. Authorities say 19yearold Tony Robinson was shot in his apartment friday night. He was unarmed. The police chief also revealed during that News Conference that officer kenny shot and killed a suspect in 2007, was was cleared of any wrongdoing.
