New from overnight, Philadelphia Police are looking for the person that pulled the trigger in a deadly shooting. It happened in the long crest section of the city near colgate and rosaly streets. A man died after he was hit once in the chest. Everybody made it out okay after a fire inside a duplex in northeast philadelphia. It was just after 1 00 this morning after crews worked quickly to get the blaze under control. Officials are investigating how that fire started. This morning investigators are hoping for tips from the public in an armed Home Invasion on the main line. The Police Released this sketch of the suspect. The victim said the man was posing as an organic food salesman when he pushed his way into her home and demanded her husbands watches. The thieves stole upwards of half a million in jewelry. The top Prosecutor Says she will release a report on monday about how police and prosecutors handled the Jerry Sandusky case. She has questioned why it took three years for child sex abuse charges to be filed against the defensive coordinator. She argued her predecessors wasted too much time while the sexual predator remained free. He is serving a 30 to 60year state prison sentence. Former penn state president and two other administrators are awaiting trial on allegations that they mislead or lied to the grand jury about what they knew in the case. We had details about a shooting that injured two students in the Charter School this past winter. Walker will spend six months in prison for smuggling a gun in the high school in january. The teen was an alumni mentor at the school. Walker gave the gun to a student who accidentally fired it injuring two classmates. Walker brought the gun to a student that was in fear of being attacked on the way home. Two men are in custody for a shootout that played out on a Surveillance Video inside of a northeast philadelphia hotel. This was at the Roosevelt Manor in. When Police Arrived they heard gunshots coming from a hallway. Jackson and fountain were shooting at each other. According to investigators, the two had been having some kind of a fight. Jackson was allegedly running a prostitution operation and was inside the building when fountain came in. Nobody else was hurt in the incident. Some officers on the Camden County police force are now equipped with hightech tasers. They have video cameras, so there is a recording of what happens. Officers used the weapon for the first time after a woman on jackson street tried to attack them with a knife. Each taser costs about 2,500 each and they are being paid with money confiscated from drug dealers. And Philadelphia Police commissioner says his department wont stop arresting people for possession even if the new bill is signed into law. According to the commissioner, Marijuana Possession will still be treated as a misdemeanor. The Council Passed a bill that if people are caught with less than an ounce of marijuana they would get a 25instead of going to jail. And then opening in a temporary location while the facility is under construction. Downingtown Senior Center will operate out of the thorn dale United Methodist church. While you were sleeping somebody else got a rude awakening. A small plane crashed into the middle of a house. At 6 08 this morning, taking a live look at center city. The sun is starting to come up. This morning three people are under arrest in delaware after authorities found a stash of drugs and cash inside of a wilmington home. Here is what the officers found. More than 350 bags of heroin, and 2. 5 grams of marijuana and pills. They also recovered nearly 8,000 in cash. It was all part of an on going drug investigation. Three were arrested and they have been charged with a number of offenses including possession with the intent to deliver. Tracy morgans spokesperson has released new information following the crash on the turnpike. He has been moved to the rehab facility, but he still has a long road to a full recovery. His limousine van was hit from behind from a mall part truck two weeks ago. The truck driver, kevin roper, was speeding before he slammed into the limo. He had been on the job 13 hours at the time of the crash and had not slept in 24 hours. He has pleaded not guilty. Now to the crisis in iraq. Secretary of state john kerry will head overseas tomorrow for talks to try to calm the sekera tearen violence there. Kerrys trip is part of president obamas plan to use diplomacy and military advisers to lower tensions in iraq. Iraqs Prime Minister is facing pressure to reform his government or step aside. Nuri al maliki is being blamed for angering sunnis by not including them in decisions. This morning we have learned that the sunni militant seized a Border Crossing with syria after killing 30 iraqi troops and several civilians. Now to a developing story in minnesota. Investigators are look into a crash of a small plane into a house. It smashed into the house last night and setting the home on fire. The homeowner told a local newspaper that his brotherinlaw was at the house at the time and got out safely. The pilot also managed to survive. Investigators are expected to be at the site later today. In upstate new york one person dead and seven others hurt after a tractor trailer hauling a load of cars crashed into a restaurant. It happened in ithaca yesterday. The big rig hit the building at full speed. A bartender at the restaurant was killed in the crash and no charges have been filed yet but an investigation is underway. This morning in california people are looking at the damage done after two fires ripped through the state. It caused evacuation and road closures before crews got it under control. In san andreas, there was a different brushfire and crews worked through the night to try and contain the flames. Get ready to pay more if you are bound for the beach. A smokers risk of lung cancer may be linked to when they light their first cigarette of the day. Thats according to a new study down at the National Cancer institute. It included questions about how soon we had their first cigarette about waking up in the morning. Researchers at the university of chicago said they developed a new pool to assess a patients ability to monitor the stress of fighting cancer. According to researchers, identifying those most at risk for money problems can help doctors refer those patients for financial counseling and even consider prescribingless co lesy medications. And some delaware tolls are going up, but only on the weekends. The governor and lawmakers have agreed to raise tolls on route 1 by a dollar. The money will be used for road repairs and maintenance. During the next few weeks a few pulls around the city will open every day until all 70 are up and running and all pulools wil be up and running by july 1st. We have water arobics, and in addition we have two swim for life programs for kids that want to learn how to swim, and possibly become competitive swimmers. To help keep everybody safe, the pools maintain a ratio of one lifeguard to every 30 kids in the water with at least two on duty. Its graduation time. Students at one philadelphia Charter School are celebrating a big achievement. More than 90 of its senior class graduated this week. Keith jones has this story from grace ferry. Caps, gowns, diplomas, but this year is different. I cried like five times and i am trying to wipe the tears and not mess up the liner. 72 graduated. Why is that significant . The Graduation Rate is closer to 60 . Its a struggle but i think we are winning. The chairman of the charter, and before involved it was one of the worst schools in the district. Tears come to my eyes, and i am very proud of her. Hard times are hard to imagine after drastic reform three years ago. Before the change it was kind of crazy, but now its more subtle and more disciplined and nice. It became a better place and it had a lot more opportunities than it did before. Officials say every student has a plan after high school, and most include college. Lots of high schools will tout they have a high Graduation Rate, but we are focussed on what happens after graduation. A ceremony in bucks county had people doing double takes. There are 14 pairs of twins in the graduation class. They include five sets of boy twins and two sets of girl twepbz and seven sets of boy girl twins. Many of the twin sets are splitting up for college with one exception. Now we are going our separate ways and it should be different. We are actually going to the same college. New from overnight, one man is dead after a shooting in philadelphias lawn crest neighborhood. The victim died after he was hit once in the chest. Police are now looking for the shooter in this case. This morning Philadelphia Police are trying to track down the gunman wanted in a double shooting in all knee. A 14yearold boy who happened to be walking into a store there was shot in the leg and also a 27yearold man was hit in the leg. Both are in stable condition. Police officers in Camden County are now patrolling the streets with a new weapon to defend themselves. Take a look. These new tasers are equipped with video cameras so there is a recording of any kind of encounter they have. Two weeks ago the officers used the new weapon for the first time after they say a woman on jackson street tried to attack them with a knife. This video shows a woman lunging at the officers with a 12inch blake. Clearly it would have been a justifiable case if the officer shot her, but we didnt have to because of the taser. The county police says each taser costs 2,500, and they are paid for with funds confiscated from drug dealers. Sky force 10 was over the scene on thursday night as Neal Reynolds and darnell surrendered. Buchanan is now in critical condition. The shooting is believed to have stemmed from a domestic dispute. This morning a Montgomery County bridge may take years to reopen. It runs over the perk kwrauplen creek. It was structurally unstable. Once they looked at the beams underneath and the cracks and the strands of rebar showing, and they looked at the Structural Analysis done at the bridge report, they decided its unsafe for travel.
