Phoenix is getting rain. This is part of the storm that will affecting us on sunday. This is not one of the storms we wonder whether its going to develop or develop in time or create moisture. Its there. Theres plenty of moisture. Its just a question of the track and how much warm air gets in here. What areas will see it change to rain. What areas will see mostly snow. Well were still watching those snow squals. You may have seen those this evening. Other than that our next chance of snow comes as we go into sunday. Sunday that leads into monday. The main thing with this next storm system is going to be the rain snow line. We do expect a rain snow line through the area so some of you may get quite a bit of snow. Others more like rain. But it really depends on the track. Ill show you that in a second. Heres what it looks like outside aramark building. We had the flakes coming down five minutes ago. That really shows you how fast the snow is moving by. Not so much now, but you still see the flags blowing. It is very windy outside right now. Winds gusting about 32 miles an hour in philadelphia. Temperature 34. Feels more like 22. Thats what the winds will do. It will drop those temperatures outside when you walk outside. Feels a little colder. Right now on the satellite and radar picture, we have the snow squalls moving through the area. Philadelphia, even parts of nj. Its all developing from areas around the Lehigh Valley. Well be watching that closely for any redevelopment. Parts of Burlington County tabernacle seeing moderate snowfall. Its windy and looks a little scarier when you look outside at that. This should be making it to the shore. We dont see this breaking apart before it reach there is. Cherry hill seeing some snow right now. Even around the philadelphia area. 76, 95 all the major interstates seeing that brief burst of moderate snowfall. Continues into the Lehigh Valley upper Montgomery County seeing it against across 476. This is an area well pay a close eye on. It could redevelop. The winds will make it feel colder. Weve been telling you about the really cold windchills. By 10 00 tonight, feeling like single digits. Areas north and west could feel below zero. Starting off your weekend, 7 00 in the morning, feeling about 5 degrees below zero, north and west. The rest of the area feeling around zero degrees. Then we go into the end of the weekend. We have a storm system that will be approaching. So it will be moving into the area. The question is where is the rain snow line going to be . Heres the first track, puts that area of low pressure a little farther to the south, which would give us more cold air through much of the area. This would lead to more snow. And the rain stays mostly a little farther to our south. Now, the second track, this puts that area of low pressure not even that big of a difference but just far enough north to bring the rain snow line farther north. We could see the snow mainly confined to north philadelphia and the rain moves up farther north, too. It will be the section through the philadelphia area that well be watching the closest. Second track, more rain moves in and the rain snow line a little farther to the north. This is one of the things well have to watch as it moves in where we start to see the cold air move in. A chance for about 4 inches of snowfall. Lowest chances will be south jersey and delaware. The more medium chance, the area well keep our eye on, that will be through the philadelphia area. A sure bet for snowfall would be the poconos and Lehigh Valley. That area expected to stay on the north end of the rain snow line. Tonight, snow quauls. Winds will make it feel colder. Tomorrow windy, bitter cold. Temperatures in the mid to upper 20s. Late sunday well watch the rain and snow. That continues for monday.
