Feels like 16 degrees in allentown. Feels like 17 in reading. For south jersey in delaware feels like the low 20s. It will be feeling colder as we go through the overnight hours into tomorrow morning. Some areas will feel like the Single Digits when you wake up. For this evening, it stays windy. 29 degrees by 6 p. M. 28 degrees by 8 p. M. By 10 00 tonight, temperatures will be in the mid20s. When you factor in the wind its going to keep feeling like the teens. By 10 00 tonight, feeling only like 12 degrees. Yes, it is going to keep feeling colder as we go overnight tonight. So we did see early snow showers this morning. We saw heavier snow bands moved in but the heavier moss tire stayed you want to north and east. That storm started moving away. A dash cam recording showing the moment a woman steals a Police Cruiser and takes off on a wild ride. We told you earlier this month when officers near pittsburgh chased down roxanne rooimer, a theft suspect who somehow got into the drivers seat of this Police Cruiser. Newly released video shows how fast she was driving while handcuffed. Officers say she was going more than 80 miles an hour driving dangerously on those winding roads. After a tenmile chase, she hops out, make ace run for it but a trail of officers were following closely behind. She was arrested about five miles away from where she ditched that cruiser. No one was injured. A judge is ordering her to stand trial for the many charges. She says she doesnt remember anything. And this man is under arrest in delaware after being on the on the run for a month. Wait until you hear the Illegal Drugs officers say were found inside his car. Some cleaning up to do before work today in Montgomery County but tounszwns along the coast saw significant accumulation. For the most part the storm was gentler. That doesnt mean snow blowers werent used. This man was retired and says he doesnt mind the mess. I enjoy doing this. It gives me something to do. He said even though he enjoys clearing the snow hes glad we didnt get walloped by the storm. The snow is out of here. Now strong wind and bitter cold air is moving in. It will stay with us tomorrow so when you walk outside tomorrow morning, many areas will be feeling like Single Digits if not almost everybody. Now, as we go through this evening, the wind will stay with us. It will keep those temperatures feeling colder. I 6 00 actual temperatures will be in the upper 20s. 28 degrees by 10 00. New information on the devastating fire in a north jersey apartment building. Tenants filed a classaction lawsuit yesterday. About 1,000 people were displaced by the fire. The civil suit seeks a jury trial and blames avalon in bergen county. The cause of the fire was deemed accidental. They say two maintenance workers were doing plumbing work when a blow torch sparked the fire. A lot of Fresh Produce on board the ship that ran aground this morning off the coast of cumberland county. The ship was on its way to philadelphia with all of that produce. The coast guard sent us this video this afternoon. It is working to safely refloat the ship now. A Delaware County couple charged with endangering the welfare of their 1monthold say they are good parents. This after the family ferrets attacked the infant. The nbc10 investigators found Child Abuse Services found with the intellectually disabled couple. Mitch blacher questions whether the county should have been involved sooner. Reporter this is a family with five children, four with Developmental Disabilities. They have three ferrets dogs cats and a turtle. The police chief who investigated this crime raised serious questions about the parents ability to handle all of those responsibilities. Darbys police chief was clearly shaken when he first talked about this crime. And this is the most horrific thing ive seen happen to a child in 45 years in this town. Reporter the couple werent home tuesday. Four of their children have been removed, sent to live with relatives. Their 1monthold remains hospitalized at c. H. O. P. By the time the mom gets down stairs, the ferret hs eaten away at the childs face. Reporter friday, he defended their parenting. Were good parents. We made one mistake, by leaving them alone, we regret it and blame ourselves for it. Its hard for me to believe that this two parents with intellectual disabilities, at least four children with Developmental Disabilities that there wasnt some awareness of this family. Septa says the vehicle rearended the trolley on woodland. Three people are being taken to the hospital. On the run for more than a month, a new castle man police say sent officers on a dramatic chase back in december is sitting in jail tonight. Police say Joshua Smallwood was spotted inside a car closing a heroine transaction. The passenger was arrested with nearly 1,000 bags of heroine. Smallwood managed to get away hopping inside a running vehicle and speeding off. The pursuit was canceled for public safety. Officers caught up with him last night, arresting him on multiple charges. Well be watching an area of moisture approaching from the west, by noon on thursday. We do stay dry for a majority of the day, thursday. Then thursday night we start to see that snow approaching 7 p. M. Snow moving in from the west. It should be on the lighter side. It quickly moves through. By 11 p. M. Well be dealing with snow showers but quickly after it will be coming to an end. The pentagon is denying there was a decision to prosecute former taliban prisoner Bowe Bergdahl for walking away from the u. S. Army while in afghanistan. There is a decision and the charge will be a rare and serious one, desertion. Nbcs Steve Handelsman reports from washington. My name is Bowe Bergdahl. Reporter the charge of desertion is so serious, it can mean decades in prison. The pentagon denied that prosecutors have agreed to that charge. No decision has been made with respect to the case of sergeant bergdahl. None. Reporter but military sources tell nbc news Bowe Bergdahl will be charged with desertion. Abandoning his combat post in afghanistan in 2009 putting at risk fellow soldiers. He deserted not only the army but he also left myself, my platoon, my company to clean up his mess. Reporter six soldiers died during the fruitless search for bergdahl. There are still people out there that never came back. And its because he walked he walked away. Reporter bergdahl became a taliban prison locked up for five years, but whefs free picked up by u. S. Special forces, there was little celebration. Even in his hometown in idaho. Bergdahl had been swapped for five taliban leaders. Critics warned the five would rejoin the fight against the u. S. President obama, who had flown bergdahls parents to washington to play up his release, quickly went defensive. We still get an american soldier back. Reporter if bergdahl is charged with desertion, whats his lawyers defense . Theyre going to try to say, yes,he did leave but he didnt intend to dessert. He didnt intend to join the enemy. He was going awol for a limited period and they might throw in something, he was captured therefore, against his will, he was not able to return.
