The worst is in north jersey up into new england. We are getting our share of it right now. You can see that were going to be in a severe thunderstorm watch that covers the entire area. Thats until 9 00 tonight. Theres the potential for severe thunderstorms just about anywhere. This is one that we have been following. This is detecting hail and the brighter colors indicating the bigger hail. This is in the poconos where they have had reports of hail, reports of flooding. 1 1 2 Inch Diameter hail. Its about as big as what we saw a half hour ago. If a Severe Thunderstorm Warning is issued, that means wind gusts could get over 60 miles an hour, hail possible. Move indoors and away from windows. Cells are moving through berks county. We had some earlier. That could cause a little additional flooding there. You can see that this is briefly heavy rain, over one and a third inches per hour at that rate, if it continues over that region. Police say this was clearly a stressful situation. The department is going to review it and will likely make changes as a result.
