I think its a matter of short time before they at least label it a tropical depression. Its not going to be necessarily directly hitting florida. Its going to move up the coast and thats going to be bringing moisture with it. Its going to be at least a couple of days. For tonight, things are dry. And pleasant. Still on the warm side. Its getting a little bit more humidity later tonight. Way hotter and more humid and stormy before we get affected by that next storm, which could be named arthur. Sky force 10 over the scene as crews were searching for that teenager. The 14yearold disappeared in the water sunday. Still no sign of him at this hour. Weve been watching new Jersey State Police and coast guard boats going back and forth along the coastline all day. Coast guard officials tell me, they suspended their search for the boy about 20 minutes ago. From the air and on the water, the search continued today for a 14yearold philadelphia boy who vanished in the ocean city surf. The boats and helicopters impossible to miss for his loved ones and the thousands of others watching from the beach. The only thing you can think about. The atmosphere is different. Its real lshgs really bad. Reporter the teen and a group of friends were swimming off the ninth street beach when they were swept away by a rip current shortly before 7 00 last night, 90 minutes after lifeguards had gone off duty. Afterhour beach patrol sabed 14 people including Good Samaritans who became caught in the current while trying to help. When the lifeguards go off duty, its time to go home. Reporter the teens went in the water near this rock area clearly posted as dangerous. Today we saw city crews putting up even more warning signs. There are places where you just cant go in. I dont care how good a swimmer you are. Reporter were told the surf could become even more dangerous later this week thanks to a tropical system brewing in the ocean. The mayor offered sympathy on behalf of the city. Security gate outside ritas water ice fell on top of her. Sources tell nbc 10, investigators are trying to determine if criminal charges are warranted. On sunday, the forensic unit looked at holes where at one time bolts the security gate to the front of the building. Investigators say there were no anchors for the heavy duty bolts. An airplane stuck in the mud with fuel. Officials are worried about the fuel as they plan to pull it to dry land. According to police, the plane will have its wipgs removed and then a helicopter will remove it. An attempt yesterday failed to free the plane. Police are working with the federal Aviation Administration to secure the fuel thats still inside the plane. It went down after it took off from the New Castle County airport. The pilot and passenger survived. Developments for gm. Less than two years ago it announced its recalling 7. 6 million more vehicles because of a faulty ignition switch.
