They believe she is hiding in maryland while her disabled son is hospitalized here after spending five days alone in the woods. This popular west philly park sits right next to the crime scene. Yet for five days people came here oblivious to the quadriplegic man stuck in the woods. Police say he was abandoned by his own mother and neighbors are furious. For a mother to throw him over there like that, someone needs to leave her there for five days. Reporter police say the 21yearold victim who has Cerebral Palsy was left to die. Unable to move he was unable to yell for help. It is heart breaking to see a mother treat someone like that. Reporter his mother gave him a bible and blanket and pushed his wheelchair into the woods and fled to visit her boyfriend in maryland. A lot of things could have happened. You have wild animals out there. The kid cannot defend himself. He does not function at all. Reporter were it not for a Good Samaritan police say he would be dead. Detectives in maryland are tracking down his mom, the 41yearold woman. Late tonight Police Issued an arrest warrant while her neighbors asked the obvious question, why not just reach out for help. If you cant take care of your child give him to someone who can care for him. Reporter police say the victim is a fighter and he does have some family members at the hospital with him as he recovers.
