And theyre outscoring the eagles offense 3520. Today, the eagles blocked another punt so thats three straight weeks with a special teams touchdown. First time in franchise history. The eagles have seven touchdowns on special teams and defense, the most through five games in the nfl in 44 years and in eagles history only the 1952 birds have more in an entire season. The players say chip kelly puts an emphasis on special families and they work real hard on it in practice. Its a confidence thing and kind of a swagger thing on special teams, once guys make plays you want to go out there and make some plays. You saw him block the punt next week. I want to go out there and do that and get one this week. Each player wants to do Something Special because we see guys on our team doing special things on special teams that you want to be one of the guys that do something extra. In our area tonight five people are in the hospital after a weekend of gun violence on the streets of philadelphia. Early this morning, there was a triple shooting in cobbs creek. It happened outside of a lounge at 52nd and delancy streets. One victim is in critical condition. The other two are listed as stable. The shooter has not been arrested. And police are also investigating a double shooting in kensington. Two men were shot near kensington and east sedgely avenues just after midnight. Both are in the hospital right now in stable condition. Police tell nbc 10 that they did find a gun at the scene that was registered to one of the victims. So far, though, no arrests. A bar in kent county, delaware, is in shambles, destroyed after predawn fire today and a fire truck overturned while racing to answer the call. This happened along east dennys road north of dover. Nbc 10 spoke with one of the firefighters who was on that truck. Reporter this is what firefighters in lipsick kent county were heading to, a large barnfire off east dennys road. Before one of the crews could get there, there was trouble. I got a truck flipped. Fire truck. The left side of the truck got off on to the shoulder and we went, wound up going down into the ditch. Reporter lipsick volunteer fire chief mike grek core was on that truck around 2 30 this morning. He and two others were trying to get around a tanker on this twolane road a few hundred feet from the fire. This is where it happened. See the tire tracks right there. And where the truck wound up about three feet below the road. As soon as the tanker went past us, he got out to see if we were all right, then when we got up here he told the officer in charge at the scene everybody was all right. Reporter the driver was taken to the hospital for observation but was released and returned to fight this fire. We watched as one crew focused on the barn and another tried to get this engine on to solid ground. Several towns responded but the barn was destroyed. It had equipment inside. So did the engine. The truck was towed back to the fire house with the chief spending his sunday calling the insurance company. The trucks replaceable. The firemen arent. The firemen were okay.
