The winds in place are feeling a little colder and that will be whats going to happen this afternoon. Were going to feel cooler than we are right now. Were seeing winds sustained anywhere from 15 to 30 miles an hour. 26 miles an hour in philadelphia. That is sustained. Well look at that straight ahead. New from overnight a woman was hurt in this crash in a lawncrest neighborhood. Police tell us a woman hit a tree around 4 00 this morning and then her car flipped over. The woman was taken to the hospital with cuts and bruises to her head. Thankfully no one was hurt here when a pickup truck plowed into a house on delaware county. It happened on hidden road in chichester county just after 1 00. Police are trying to determine what caused the wreck. Its unclear if the driver will face any charges. In south Philadelphia Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 11 30 last night. Police tell us a 20yearold man is being treated after he was shot in the arms and legs. So far no arrests. Today taking aim at a firearms policy in lower marion township. Thats the focus of a controversial rally that will be happening later on this afternoon. Nbc 10s jesse gary is at bala cynwyd park in cynwyd. Its sending the wrong message. Tell us about it gentlemeny. Reporter i talked with the Marion County police. They say they dont expect it to be large but be very peaceful and organized. The only concern is you may have protesters coming out to protest the demonstrators. Absent of that theyre only worried about a parking shortage. Theyre going to have it in this beautiful park here. Demonstrators are claiming that their demonstration for Second Amendment rights to carry arms is in conflict with the ordinance. The ordinance bans firearms in public parks. I say it goes contrary to the law and thats why theyre all rallying today. Ive spoken with people who like the park the way it is and would rather not have a procarry gun rally here at cynwyd park. As a tribute to the eightyear veteran of the Department Commissioner Charles Ramsey awarded wilson the medal of honor, the medal of valor, and posthumously promoted him to sergeant. Theyll rename the medal of valor in honor of wilson. Yesterday hundreds of Police Officers paid their respects to officer wilson at the Funeral Service at the palestra at penns campus. A woman walking down the street tells nbc 10 that she had to dive out of the way of the car as the driver reversed from the parking lot. I just heard people working here screaming no no and 90 miles an hour going in reverse. Im still shaking. I turned around the car flew back. I literally like dove. The victims had to be rescued from inside the smashed car but their injuries are not lifethreatening. In delaware county, investigators are looking for the cause of this fire that destroyed three tractortrailers. You see the damage. It happened at conway freight in thornton yesterday. The flames also damaged a fourth big rig and a storage trailer. Now to news from our jersey shore bureau. A 26yearold woman is recovering from minor injuries house in ocean county. This happened yesterday morning at a twostory home in seaside heights. Authorities say maintenance was being done on the home at the time of the explosion. Police are looking for two suspects in two armed robberies at new castle gas stations. The first happened at a bp gas station. Two got away with knife. Then a short time later police say a robber also armed with a knife also hit the shell station on christiana road on new castle. That person escaped with some money. All right.
